Well, not wishing to jinx anything so whispering - have had a good run of online sales the last few days and have had 8 sales which is unusual for me. Posted 4 this morning before work and have another one to post tomorrow.
Long day at work today but with a couple of hours gap in between meetings so I didn't take a packed lunch for once and went to my favourite cafe as a treat. Only needed soup and oatcakes when I finally got home.
Going to have a chat in the morning with someone who can advise about spec and price and where to best go for a new laptop as that is going to be needed soon.
Broadband will change to new provider tomorrow so have my fingers and toes crossed that this will go smoothly. I have already tidied up the wires for the landline as realised OH who was a bit of a wire and plug fiend, had plugged in a huge roll of extra wire to make the phone reach a shelf. I've removed the wire and moved the phone so that looks better already.0 -
I like the stuff that you whispered :rotfl: well done you!
Good luck with switching the broadband provider tomorrow, yikes. And thats interesting about the big roll of wire - you might find that the connection seems better/more secure, literally because it travels down less wire? I know it sounds a bit bonkers
Here's to new providers!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Thanks KC, not bonkers at all as the landline does sound clearer I think. I don't really use it for outgoing calls and may dispense with one eventually. I mainly had it because my good friend lives in a valley and until recently they didn't get a mobile signal there. Now she does we tend to talk on mobiles or text each other.0 -
Broadband switch went smoothly and all seems to be working well :j:j only issue is that the wire from phone socket to router is shorter than the last one so it doesn't reach the coffee table and theres no where else to put it and can't rearrange the furniture really. I might try using the wire from the previous router to see if that works ok.
Had a chat with the guy who knows about laptops etc and got some good advice about specs and prices so will do some more research tomorrow as working from home.0 -
Thanks Beanie, you were up early x
