:rotfl:Excellent reasons for radio silence
and I'd love to hear Jack Monroe speak at some stage, I bet she's a live wire on a stage.
Sleep well, teapot.
She certainly is, well worth seeing  Meant to add, she talked about her 'Tin Can Cook' book and joked she had thought about calling it the 'No Deal Brexit Cookbook' :rotfl:0 -

Slept fairly well last night so a bit more rested today and haven't been out anywhere
.
Caught up on some work emails and did an invoice for this month so that I can get it approved before the manager goes on 2 weeks leave.
I cashed out £15 on TCB from one of the bookies that I signed up to for the MB. Have converted it to an @mazon voucher as going to try and build that up for pressies - did a P Cone survey a couple of days ago so got a £5 voucher for that. I cancelled the emergency insurance after all the hassle I had with them last year and also renewed the house and contents insurance for less than last years premium
Lentil soup and veg soup made and also made some more falafels and have put them in the freezer. The fridge is looking very empty but I'll get shopping delivered on Wednesday evening - £4 off voucher on that.
Back to the Book Festival tomorrow before work but thats all for this week.0 -
BTW Beanie, I saw the 'Gin chairs' your Mum was talking about - bit too big to get one in my bag though
Did your Mum enjoy her day at the Book Festival?0 -

Was back at the Book Festival yesterday before work, went to see one of my favourite Scottish crime writers. The rain was so heavy on the roof of the spiegeltent it was difficult to hear at times
Took some sandwiches for lunch but as I had 2 hours between that and work I went to one of my fave cafes and had a coffee and a brownie.
Quite a bit of work admin done today, a small new bit of work which has involved lots of emails back and forth. Was meant to be going to a work meeting late afternoon but happy to say it was cancelled. Don't get paid to attend but its one of those things we are all expected to turn up to. Did a Prolific survey, a few 1poll until they went off line and a Ugov.
Did some gardening for a couple of hours this affy, thought the ground would be quite soft after all the rain but it wasn't - had hoped to dig up some self seeded mini trees
Am waiting for my T@sco shopping to be delivered, if I'd thought about it in time I could have made it earlier as that meeting was cancelled. Meant to be here between 10 and 11pm0 -
Which Scottish crime writer did you see then?
There are so many tartan noir writers
I have been watching a good true crime series on a Sunday night on BBC Scotland which features a different crime writer each weekI am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. It was Lin Anderson, I like her books and the characters she has developed. Have you read any of her work?
http://lin-anderson.blogspot.com/
The collie she writes about in her recent book was there too!0 -
Shopping has arrived and is all put away. No soya milk , for some reason I hadn't agreed to a substitute for that. Think I have a couple in the cupboard luckily. I prefer to get that delivered as it s quite heavy to carry.0
