The sleep makes it difficult, doesn't it - I was practically catatonic in the early afternoon, then woke up at about 5pm! Know what you mean about neighbours too - it was green bin day today! Enjoy the chilling out :)

It does, as it was a bit cooler last night kept the bedroom window shut and left the door propped open with another bedroom window open at the back of the house for a bit of air and that worked fine :D.

Chilled out watching Bake Off, had forgotten it was starting again so just saw some of it and then felt peckish ;)

Sounds good. Bake Off was good too, wasn't it, though the age thing thats been written about was noticeable.
Hope today goes well for you.

Didn't manage a NSD y'day as got into the city early for my work meeting so went for a quick coffee first :o. The window cleaners were round yesterday too so will need to pay them.

It was still sunny on the way home and the light was soft. All the fields are still golden though most of the harvest is in. The light was low and catching the fields and bales of hay and it all looked lovely. There were some unusual clouds in the sky so I spent the journey just looking and enjoying it all and thinking how lucky I am to live here. Also saw a couple of hares haring along one of the fields.

Today went for a walk with family though the rain wasn't far away and we had to get back to pick up the wee one from school. Did a bit of weeding in between showers . Have also made an online shopping order for next week. Have a £7 off voucher from Mr T so have used that and stocked up a bit on tins. Nearly up to £20 on Prolific so once I get there will put that towards a CC. Pay for another bit of work is in my account today as well.

Sounds like a lovely day Teapot.

Since we have had the pup, and are out walking most days we have really started to appreciate being outside and enjoying the changes in season. I don't even mind rainy days.

Thanks Busy Mee, yes, I think one of the most noticeable season changes is going from summer to autumn and its definitely happening now :)

Dog walks are a good way to make sure you get out often.

They definitely are, I have a blueberry bush in a big pot and all the leaves turned a reddish colour about a week ago.

Had a quiet weekend and didn't go any further than the garden so also managed 3 NSDs in a row. Weather wasn't great y'day - very windy. Had a chilled out afternoon reading on the settee with big old furry boy helping.

Less windy today and stayed dry until the late afternoon so I washed all the towels and got them dried outside. Also listed some items for sale online though its been quiet on that front lately. The house and contents insurance annual payment went out on Friday and was just over £130.

Not much in the fridge so made soup with leeks, a bit of red pepper and lentils and it was surprisingly tasty. For tea I used up some of the couscous mountain and finally finished the packet that was BB 2008 :o:o:o. Will now be moving on to the 2009 packet, should finish that by about 2021 :eek:

I did a couple of hours digging up weeds and tidying up in the garden this afternoon. There are loads of welsh poppy plants springing up everywhere and they swamp everything else :(. Even the tiny plants have quite deep roots so have been digging those out with a trowel as they are in amongst plants I want to keep. Theres a few clumps of very established ones that will need some serious digging with the garden fork but hope to get them out this week.

Up to £19.80 on Prolific with another £7 waiting to be approved.

Glad I left in very good time to get to work this morning as now that the Festival is over, the roadworks and diversions are out in force :(. Not sure what 'they' are doing but they seem to be doing it everywhere!

Several of my invoices have been paid and I've paid in some money to the business account as well. As it doesn't attract any interest, I've left enough in there to cover office rent and expenses and transferred the rest to my current acct which does get interest. Most of my CCs are due in the middle of the month so will use that to pay them when the time comes. I cashed out £20.07 from Prolific and have paid it to my H@lifax CC which will be the first one to stop being 0% so I want it gone by then.

Have ordered BOFB's pills at the vet so will pick them up this week at some point. I edited my online shopping order which is due tomorrow evening, am stocking up with a few tins. I've run out of fruit so bought a couple of bananas today and will have one with muesli for breakfast as have run out of bread for toast.

Its been really chilly here today and is cold tonight so might take my hot water bottle to bed.
