Quiet day here again, the weather is better and was dry almost all day so that was a big improvement. I took a hot water bottle to bed last night it was so chilly and put the heavy duvet back on the bed.

I did some invoices and work emails this morning and had a long chat on the phone with a friend. I activated my new S@insbug's CC so will think about how much I want to BT during the week. After my email last month I actually got paid a week after I submitted my invoice for May in the job that was paying so inconsistently - hopefully that will continue, makes a huge difference.

Big old furry boy is 18 today but didn't want a party :rotfl: preferring a day long snooze with a few cuddles thrown in  He did have a few celebration smart price prawns with his tablet this evening ;)

I managed a couple of hours in the garden weeding and tidying this afternoon - there's still loads to do but if the rain keeps off I can do little and often.

Made a mac and cheese with sausages added for the family to collect tomorrow and watched a bit of TV this evening.

I guess my money saving ways :money: are pretty entrenched now as I was really quite shocked on Friday by rampant consumerism!!!

I went to get the bus down to where I was working in the city centre and saw a long queue of about 100 people near the bus stop. It turned out some had been queuing since the previous evening outside a trainer shop so they could buy limited edition designer trainers for £180 a pair. There were a couple with around 4 carrier bags each just coming out of the shop so goodness knows how much they spent :eek:.

It just all seemed so alien to me that people would do that and be suckered in [as I see it].:(:(

From me too, on both counts. Loving the thought of the cat objecting to your coughing by squeaking :)

As he's got older hes become very vocal so quite often shouts at me or we have a 'conversation' - its very endearing. He is going to the vet in the morning and possibly being sedated if his BP is ok, I've to remove his food tonight so there will be lots of shouting with indignation in the morning

Not much to report, weather lovely today and really warm this afternoon. My Nectar card arrived today, I have never had one, OH did and I just used his.

Cut the grass when I got home from work, there's rain forecast every day this week apart from today so thought I'd better take the chance to do it although the grass was still quite damp.

I'm going to head off for an early night next particularly as I've to remove big, old furry boy's food and that will NOT go down well. He is currently snoring away so will make my escape :)

Mr N has also got much much more vocal as he has got older.
Hope that your big furry boy gets on ok at the vet.

Up early to transport the boy to the vet - they were able to sedate him and he had a full MOT and various tests. All went well and he loved everyone there while on the drugs :rotfl: He has forgiven me and been very coochie coo this evening :A

Went out for lunch with family which was a good distraction while I was waiting to hear how the big, old, furry boy was getting on.

Had a few Prolific surveys today so up to £13 with another £3.30 waiting for approval. Latest utility bill is in and am still in credit.

I've ordered a Tesc@ online shop for tomorrow as seem to have run out of fresh food rather quickly this time :( I have an £8 off a £40 shop which is a big help.
