Woke up with a cold and sore throat, wasn't feeling great yesterday evening and got wet and cold on the way home.

The weather is minging today, has rained for hours, its cold and foggy. I put the heating on for a couple of hours as was so cold then sat with a hot water bottle up my jumper once I'd put the heating off. My work for today has been rescheduled [not by me] which was probably just as well.

Had to go to the PO this afternoon, waited to see if the weather was going to clear but it didn't :( I had to post a birthday pressie for my friend's mum as she will be 90 on Saturday. Didn't want to leave it till tomorrow to post in case it wouldn't arrive in time.

Got some bananas, a lemon and a huge garlic bulb from the veg shop when I was out. Cooked mushroom, chickpea and spinach curry for tea but didn't feel like eating much. Also cooked enough to freeze a couple of portions.

I applied for and was accepted for a S@insbury 0% CC with a no fee balance transfer so that will help with spreading out my debt into manageable chunks. Will also be cheaper than doing a BT to the H S B C CC which would have cost over £50 to transfer. I had a 90% chance of being accepted for it according to MSE so was chuffed it went through ok.

Did a few 1Poll surveys and a Prolific one though missed out on an £8 study which was full :(l. I've decided my head feels too full of 'cotton wool' to do any matched betting - will leave it until I'm feeling better.

Going to get stuff ready for work in the morning but will see how I feel first thing.

You don't sound at all well, teapot - I know you're trying to gee up the work situation, but it *is* stressful. Take care.

Alarm went off around 6.30 this morning but I was feeling worse even allowing for the early hour pre cuppa :). I decided not to go to work - I don't want to pass this on to anyone and was doing lots of sneezing so prob still infectious. Some of the time I'd be working in a small windowless room so  Its not easy giving up on a days pay but I feel strongly that people shouldn't go to work [or anywhere] when they might pass nasties on either during the journey or in the working day.

So made some veg soup out of what was in the fridge bottom and have been taking it easy. I've checked the bank and I've been paid :j which is a relief as I can transfer some money over to cover the CT and leccy DD.

Going to either watch some TV or have a snooze this affy :)

Good that you've been paid, teapot, and good that you've not gone in - not just for not infecting other people (thank you for that!) but also to give your immune system a chance to fight it. It *does* sound like you're taking care of yourself, carry on carrying on :):):)
