Didn't sleep very well as too 'blocked up' headwise. Had an online sale overnight so went out to PO to send it off, going to NZ... Got some cough sweets when I was out as throat is quite tickly.
I got the bus to the local garden centre after that and had a coffee and people watched for a while then got some bedding plants to fill in gaps at the front, will use some saved up loose change to pay for them.
Just chilled out in the afternoon as quite tired after that. Sat in the garden and read for a while as well.
Not much going on in the banks, though my Bereavement Support Payment arrived yesterday. Think that will be finishing soon as its only payable for 18 months.0 -
Just catching up on a few diaries. Sorry to hear you are not feeling well Teapot, look after yourself and hope you are feeling better soon x0

Not much to report today, still lurgyfied and have done very little all day in the hope that it will help with getting over this before I go back to work on Tuesday.
Was invited out for tea but declined as a) not feeling up to it and b) not sure if I'm still infectious
In the OMG category, was sitting on the settee having a cuppa and noticed a rat in the back garden :eek::eek::eek: Big old furry boy who was on my knee saw it too and went daft. I didn't let him out in case he got bitten as he's not as quick as he was - 18 this week coming. I so hope there isn't a nest somewhere, I tucked my trousers into my socks :rotfl: and looked in the shed but nothing there. Also looked in the compost bin - nothing there but antsand compost. I don't put anything but seed and fatballs out for the birds and there are several pigeons who swoop in and hoover up any dropped seed. I'll be on hyper alert now in case I spot it again. We had one about 15 years ago that used to climb the outside wall and get in the roof and run around between the floors - could hear it at night - shudder. Don't want to go through that again :eek::eek:
The cat from 2 doors down is a hunter and she comes through the garden several times a day so hopefully she'll discourage any rat activity:(:( Gonna have nightmares tonight!

Nothing to report on the rodent front so far today, suddenly thought that I'd only taken the lid off the compost bin to check so very gingerly removed the door at the bottom with a broom handle but nothing other than a surprised spider :rotfl: phew.
Am still lurgified to the same extent so won't be doing much today but may go out for some fresh air this afternoon. Have had a look at the banks and moved some money to cover a couple of DDs and the minimum payment to a CC. Am hoping my new CC might arrive in the post today.
Did a wee bit of matched betting over the w/e and am now up £106.56. Taking it slowly though, any money I do make will go towards paying off the loan from family towards fixing the roof.
Am just having a spicy ginger tea with added fresh lemon and honey :cool:0 -
Did go out this affy was planning to go down to the shore to have a walk but it started chucking it down so went for a coffee instead - at least I got out
. The plan had been to spend a C@@p voucher on loo roll however completely forgot the voucher so all in all did go out but didn't do anything I'd planned
I'll maybe pop out tomorrow morning as the voucher runs out tomorrow [in my purse already] and I need another lemon for my hot drinks.
Did a tiny bit of weeding when I got home - can't believe how many and how tall the weeds are again after all the rain we've had here. I watched a jackdaw head butting quite big stones out of the way to look for beasties under them. The stones are at the bottom of a tree out the front which is in the middle of the stone chipped area. I've always wondered why the stones never seem to stay in place - now I know.
Had HM fishcakes for supper from the freezer with salad, the leaves were from the garden and had some radishes as well - must plant some more.
Still feeling rough so hope to have an early night - even my eyeballs hurt0 -
Didn't sleep well at all as kept waking myself up coughing
v tired today but will go in to work this afternoon/evening as can't afford another day off and am not infectious now.
Went out this morning and got some loo roll with my 50p off voucher, also got another lemon for putting in drinks and paid in £10 in 20ps to the bank to cover the cost of the bedding plants I got the other day.
No money news really, the PIN arrived for my new CC - just waiting for the card itself then I can set it up and do a BT. Just did a £3 Prolific survey as well - first decent one for a while
Look like it might rain, there are some very dark clouds about so will have to make sure I remember my rain jacket. Going to have egg mayo and salad sarnies for lunch then head off on an hour or so.0 -
I LOVE egg mayonaise sarnies. Enjoy.
