I lied to the PCC I sent the parking ticket notice back to them
Well, that was silly! However, you are in Debt Collector mode, as advised above, read post # 4 of the NEWBIE thread. come back if/when you receive a LBC/LBCC/LBA/LOC and this time do NOT ignore it!
  • I have just been to the Sainsbury’s where I parked and the manager said it’s a private car park and they have no power to do anything about it. The coming is called starpark and I googled them but I can’t even find a Contact number for them. Should ignore the ZZPS letter still or pay up. I am new to all of this and literally have no clue what to do. Thank you for all your advice

JUST IGNORE ZZPS .... YOU DON'T CONTACT SCAMMERS

Forget the store manager, go to the top for cancellation.

  • Thank you so much. Should I email that person and say what happened or is there any particular format I need to use to contact them.

No particular format, tell it as it is as a customer
  • Thank you so much I’ll send the email now.
  • This is what I am thinking of writing. Please have a look for me. Thank you so much
    Dear Mr. Coupe,

I am writing as a customer who is being harassed by a car parking company for shopping at your shop.
I went to Sainsbury’s in Greenwich high street in london which is my local shop to do a quick milk shop which in total cost me £3. I was in the shop for less than 10mins. I do this almost everyday as I prefer to shop at your Sainsbury’s rather than any other shop around me. A few weeks or about a month later I received a parking notice, which has now escalated to ZZPS threatening me with £170 debts letters and Solictors which they said could possibly lead to court appearance. I am angry and believe this is unacceptable as a customer who shops at Sainsbury’s all the time to be put in this situation which could lead to me paying for more than a total amount of what my shopping cost me. I am honourably asking you to look into this and get involved in this matter as people like those car parking companies will successfully deter customers from visiting your shop.

I hope to hear from you soon

    Best regards
    Customer

REF: Parking Ticket from XXXX Number XXXX
    XXXX Branch

    Dear Mr Coupe,

As a regular customer at Sainsbury's, I was horrified to receive a parking charge notice for the pleasure of shopping with you ?

I went to Sainsbury’s in Greenwich high street in london which is my local shop to do a quick milk shop which in total cost me £3. I was in the shop for less than 10mins. I do this almost everyday as I prefer to shop at your Sainsbury’s rather than any other shop around me.

I ignored this charge as it appeared to be a scam in your car park.
It now seems that this parking operator is approved by you and now, I am being harassed by Debt Collectors threatening to harm my good credit rating by suing me in court.

You will fully appreciate that where I spend my money is totally up to me and I will not be harassed for being a customer of your company

I am going to assume that you wish to retain my custom and therefore you will do the honourable thing by cancelling this private parking ticket.

You really should not allow such companies to operate in your car parks. Harassing me and threatening court action is not what I expect from Sainsbury's

I await your confirmation of cancellation

    Yours Sincerely,
  • Thank you so much. I really appreciate your help. I will send it now and will update you with a response. Thank you
  • I have now heard back from Sainsbury’s and this is the response. I do not have the PCN I only have the one from ZZPS

    Dear Sir

Thank you for your recent correspondence that has been passed on to our Executive Office. I have been asked to look into your complaint and personally respond.

I was sorry to learn that a car parking fine has been issued to you following shopping in our Greenwich High Road store. I appreciate the disappointment this has likely caused.

Please do kindly provide a copy of the PCN notice received, along with any subsequent correspondence and I will be happy to investigate this further.

Once again please accept my apologies for the inconvenience this matter has caused. Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me on 0207 695 8900.

    Kind Regards
