Just remembered I’ve also got a text from them saying we will get it sorted just please stop with the phone calls.
So they’ve already given their word they will put it right?
Jesus Christ just stop!
What has happened here is called Karma, also known as 'what goes around comes around'.
You tried to deceive these people, the universe has punished you very nicely.
You have zero legal way to do anything about it.0 -

Just saying, it always strikes me as odd that you can do something horrible to a man or a non-pregnant woman and its apparently somehow less of a problem than if they happen to be pregnant, rather than it being a horrible thing to do to anyone, full stop.
Also, you might want to google what the straw man fallacy actually is.0 -

It is horrible to do to anyone.
But there's circumstances where additional vulnerability makes the offence worse.
Punching a baby is worse than punching a grown man.
Similarly pregnancy, disability and mental capacity can all make a person more vulnerable.0 -

I think this bothers me because I have a close friend going through hell trying to get pregnant.
Stuff like that must just be a nasty sting letting her know that she isn't as precious or as important as the women who are lucky enough to manage it.
I don't think this harassment is worse because the woman is pregnant, the nature of what the OP is doing would not be any different if she wasn't. Its not physical or sexual or threatening towards the foetus, its financial and legal.0 -

Stuff like that must just be a nasty sting letting her know that she isn't as precious or as important as the women who are lucky enough to manage it. - I don't think that's a healthy attitude to have. I'm sure to her partner / husband / SO she's the most precious person. But were she to be a victim of a crime, her vulnerability is not a judgment on her ability to have children.

Well being pregnant messes with hormonal balance and women can become distressed more easily.
I don't think anyone suggested the OP was behaving this way because she was pregnant - perhaps that's a debate between discrimination and vulnerability.
Harassment is a crime, regardless of whether it's sexual or financial motivation. Sorry don't understand that bit.0 -
obviously not!
This is your own fault.
You tried to hide a big issue. (which was a stupid thing to do as a surveyor would see this in seconds)
and you offered them access to the property to begin renovations before having a contract in place.
What are you going to claim; they broke in and ripped out the kitchen? Ridiculous
The people hoping to buy should have had a surveyor in before they started ripping out someone's kitchen, they are more stupid. Best bet for the OP is knock another 20-30k off and try to sell without a kitchen.0 -
