Out of interest, when they ripped out the kitchen did they find a dead dog buried underneath?

Only if it'd belonged to Ken Dodd's dead dad.

No. You can sell without a kitchen. There's no legal requirement to have one. Your fault; your mess to clean up
you can sell but buyers cannot get a mortgage if there is no kitchen. so cash buyers only
I'm sure you can get a mortgage if there is a working sink with a tap + a toilet wherever...except in the kitchen, of course.

That's what my daughter had, till about 2 hours after collecting the keys. By then, the 'kitchen' had been skipped!

Thanks everyone not what I wanted to hear but going to appeal to their morals that they did rip it out and see if they will have a kitchen put back in. Thanks

Yes I gave them the key so they could do it. But what I mean is that they can’t prove I gave it to them because I told them face to face

How can you prove it was them who ripped your kitchen out?

    lol... this is a belter!

Again - if this is real...
If you have texts from them about when to give the key back to you etc - then they have the same texts!!! (DOH! LOL)

You tried to cover up a major issue (if in Scotland at least, this would mean you've lied on the home report to this affect, you can't even claim ignorance of the issue as you say you've claimed insurance for it more than once - they keep record fyi).

Appeal to their morals... lol. Why not cut out the middle man here and just ask them to pretend they didn't find out about the subsidence you tried to hide and buy the place anyway... better still - pop out and buy yourself some morals then refund the people you tried to scam for the costs they incurred off the back of it.

Not a joke, I wish it was! Then I wouldn’t be in this mess

Why shouldn’t they put it right? If I crashed into someone and damaged their car, I would have to pay for the repair through my insurance. It would be me at fault as I caused the damage. It’s the same situation?

I need to add they also took down the polystyrene tiles from the ceiling so that needs re-boarding and kitchen needs reboarding and replastering! They decided they didn’t want the house so they should put right the damage they’ve caused?! Surely?!?

Had a text today saying they will report us for harassment if we keep ringing and texting them because it’s causing the wife a lot of stress and I have no need to contact them?? Well put my house right then? I’m stressed too.

Why shouldn’t they put it right? - Because you authorised it... If I crashed into someone and damaged their car, I would have to pay for the repair through my insurance. It would be me at fault as I caused the damage. It’s the same situation? - not even remotely.

I need to add they also took down the polystyrene tiles from the ceiling so that needs re-boarding and kitchen needs reboarding and replastering! They decided they didn’t want the house so they should put right the damage they’ve caused?! Surely?!? - no. They did not damage anything. They carried out authorised work

Had a text today saying they will report us for harassment if we keep ringing and texting them because it’s causing the wife a lot of stress and I have no need to contact them?? - yes, this is highly likely; as is a night in the cells Well put my house right then? I’m stressed too.

I authorised it under the assurance they would buy the house nor that they would rip it out and do a runner!

Do they have grounds for the harassment? If so I’ll ask about the damage to the police
