I know this has been asked a few times on here, but need to phone the states over a future hotel booking in Vegas.

Anyone know if any, and what number to dial from mobile to get cheap calls from uk to us.

Don’t think it’s the one I’ve used before, but as soon as we have our flights sorted I need to ring The Luxor Hotel and change my booking of 4 comped nights with them for March.
Probably shouldn’t have booked the room before flights sorted, but the rooms free and no prepayment, so no risk involved.

compared to ringing direct, that number will be cheaper!
the days of that 0161 311 3111 are long gone
the 0330 / 0845 / 0843 = 50p or so per min (1p goes to the firm, the phone co. get the rest as a service charge.....)

I use Skype, less than a penny for a few minutes or free if the hotel is on Skype as well.

I have always found that their contact us page or e-mail does just as well as a phone call.

CORRECTION

Calls to 03 numbers are inclusive in allowances on the same basis as calls to 01 and 02 numbers, or are otherwise charged at the same rate as calling an 01 or 02 number. When inclusive there is no additional charge. Outside of allowances calls to 01, 02 and 03 numbers can cost up to 20p per minute from landlines or up to 65p per minute from mobiles. Call charges are set by, and retained by, the caller's phone provider.

Calls to 084 and 087 numbers are premium rate and the call charge consists of two parts. The Access Charge can be up to 20p per minute from landlines or up to 65p per minute from mobiles. This revenue is retained by the caller's phone provider. The Service Charge can be up to 7p per minute for calls to 084 numbers or up to 13p per minute for calls to 087 numbers. This revenue goes to the premium rate service provider to pay for the premium rate service that was accessed. These calls are rarely included in allowances. A small number of landline providers still offer inclusive calls to 0845 and/or 0870 numbers, but this is rare.

Agreed - I’ve never been charged for an 03 call by my telephone provider (I.e. it has come out of my inclusive minutes)

here is a dialer using 0330 (so should be free from your mobile...)

Then dial the US number followed by #
and yeah, 0161 311 3111 (used to use that ages ago, but they blocked you calling it, instead gearing for the 08 number , looks like it now allows calls again ! )

Just sorted out a trip in March to Vegas.
It will be the cheapest visit we will have had ever.
Direct flights and 10 nights in hotel for just over £1000 for the two of us.
Took advantage of air miles and companion flight award, only £540 for 2 flights. Admittedly not the best flight option, we have to fly from LHR instead of Manchester, but Man didn’t allow use of companion flight, so a few extra quid added onto costs with a longer trip down to London.
Can’t complain though just over a grand for flights and hotels.:T
