We've done Dublin a few times, no worries.
We skip the last leg though and fly back to ABZ from LHR..
I am ever the optimist and it has always worked out SO FAR
OH has just checked flights ABZ to DUB for next year and said they were £200pp with only 7kgs hand and 20kgs checked baggage.
Oh how I miss BMI when we used to go ABZ-MAN-LAS.
Have looked at KLM, but they were £1000pp economy. About £100 cheaper from GLA, but oil flights keep the ABZ-AMS flights high.0 -
well...……..
back in the UK now (got home yesterday)
Took out $2458
Came back with $534
Not bad given when I got back in June, I had 75 cents!
Slots = still suck a$$ , although cant prove it, they are rigged, and I aint the only 1 saying it, heard it lots over there, even amongst staff !
Max bets that I like = kick in the teeth
Betting $1 - $3 = pays big (in ratio basis)
Laughlin = Cool place ! different, but enjoyable!
Will do a mini trip report later
best day of the trip ? Thursday....
We hired x3 cars from hertz, we got 1 Chally, 2 stangs (V8's) …. Had some issues which took 1hr 15 to get sorted, but once sorted, I took us on the route to valley of fire, down to lake mead, and back to Vegas...
Each car burned through $30 in fuel0 -
Off topic but did you sort your TV Stuie
Not sure they are rigged, a few big wins been posted recently with 50c bets0 -
TV ? u mean from last year ? (Hisense TV) ?
Slots = last year and year before, playing on the likes of Wonka / buffalo / the chinese $8.88 slots (max bet, so $6 - $8.88 ) , i was getting good wins, with ratio's like 15/1 upto 400/1 (Flying Horse - $2.50 bet = $850 payout on the bonus feature) .....
earlier this year, biggest win on a slot was peanuts, despite pumping in loads...
Same again last week...
Wonka = $160 coin in, $6 spin, with $13 remaining, i got the umpa's .....
Gave me $35.......... Raging is an understatement!
Tree of wealth at $8.88 , i used my $325 freeplay + $215 of my own money... Won the mini jackpot 2 times ($34 + $19 )..
Got the bonus feature, pressed for 5 spins with biggest win combo, the payout was $168 .....
Many other machines on the big strip hotels = same.......
ie: playing max bet yielded the lowest RTP (return to player) ....
Ironically, i play the Quick Hits slot, pressed $1 spin and it dished out $75 ! (75/1 odds!) ....0 -
Thats the one (hisense) you said you would keep others updated on that thread0

hi
Stuie i can feel your pain !
My brother is a fan of slots..i like them too but im more of a $1 a shot kinda guy and my brother is sorta like you and plays $3 plus. When we first went to vegas in 2014 whilst we were checking in he said ok be back in a minute.... he comes back a few minutes later and says just lost $300
the worst thing to think bout is someone prob put a buck into the machine and won $500 lol
On another side note( again!) and being very UN MSE. has anyone done BA business class from london?
Im looking to go solo and it looks like i can get return flights to vegas business class...edi-lon-vegas...vegas-lon-edi for around £1700.. and usuing Mlife offers it seems i can get my hotel mgm for around $275 plus like $75 free play $100 resort credit.
any advice?
thanks in advance0 -

Just got virgin upper class for £1800 next year. Thought it was worth the extra just to try as a one off.
Used to going Thomas Cooks Premiere Class for £700. Shame about that.0 -
