Just submitted my update. We have slowed down our payments due to the current situation. The recalculation of the mortgage after the base rate change means our mortgage payments are now less that £13 a month. I've rounded it up to £100 but am waiting til the end of the month to see what the impact on our wages has done - DH is furloughed and I'm self employed (and unable to claim anything). Still hoping to have paid it all off by AugustTotal OPs 2012 - 2019 £39744.75Target 2020 £18500/£1850001/05/2020 MORTGAGE FREEMFiT-T4 #03 MFW2019 #36

Congratulations all!
Just checked our balance (wish I didn't have to actually RING the building society to do it but there we are). We took Mr Cheery's pension lump sum recently and were planning a large overpayment, but with the current situation as others have said things feel so uncertain so we're going to keep hold of that for now.
We did just increase the monthly payment though, which means we're now overpaying £80 a month from 1st May, so that should start chipping away at things a little more (and has taken another 2 years off the end date, hooray!)
Balance is currently £196,800 though so still a LONG way to go!

Morning all, and congratulations on all the overpayments made so far
I've just realised that I didn't update for chart 4 so I've just submitted two updates. As of today, our mortgage balance stands at £207,776.00 down from a starting balance of £220,000 so we're currently on track to still hit our target of £190,000 by the end. Though I will be having a baby in July, so I imagine that's going to somewhat slow down our progress temporarily.....MFW2023 challenge #99: £1090.11 / £1,000 MFiT-T6 (Jan 2022 - Jan 2025) challenge #99: Reduce mortgage to £400,000.
