Glad you had a good time Denise
2 1/2 off this week.
Dident expect that so pleased
Congrats Beanie!
Welcome home Denise - hope you're not kitchenless for long.
Stoke, I hope things turn a corner for you soon.
Odd day foodwise for me today. The kitchen is turning into the DIY job from hell so everything that could go wrong has today, including blowing up the hairdryer taking the covering off the kitchen cabinet doors....I then remembered I had a heat gun..
I now have a superclean kitchen and rubbish hair.
Anyway, todays menu
B 1/2 grapefruit with half tsp sugar, two weetabix with milk
L Packet of Aldi's curried chickpeas with some cold rice leftover yesterday, large orange
D Tuna mayo sandwich (cba cooking)
Must do better!0 -
Thank you for all the "welcome backs". Wasn't able to get on while I was away as wouldn't accept my password on my phone.
Unfortunately it's going to be another couple of weeks before my kitchen will be useable, although worktops are going in today (hopefully!) so might be able to plug in the SC somewhere and make some sort of stew over the weekend. Have plugged in the fridge/freezer in the living room so at least got somewhere to keep milk, spread etc cool.
No idea what we're going to be eating today but need to do some shopping for the weekend. Have only got bread & eggs so may have egg on toast or even just toast for breakfast.
Also need to take all the washing to the launderette - going to get it all done on a service wash & dry as won't have a washing machine for probably another week and I can't have that amount of washing hanging around!
Stoke please talk to someone to sort things out.

Hi all, well done on all losses.
I have been so busy I've not been able to get on here and read the thread but we are off to the seaside for the weekend so hope to find the to catch up.
I've moved WI back to Friday, so today is only my second reported WI in three weeks. Yea for a 2Lbloss. Not great but 3lb in total in three weeks is ok, as long as I can keep away from the fish and chips this weekend.
Have a good day everyone0 -
Welcome back Denise, hope it was a good one.
Just about pulled back my over indulgence of weekend, STS, so reasonably happy, especially as I had a terrible attack of the munchies all week, no idea why, possibly because I felt cold and wanted comfort. Anyway, other than Sunday when I will be with a friend for her daughter's birthday so no idea what will be eaten, there is nothing in GTQ's diary which will impact on SW for this week, so hopefully, will come back with a decent loss (which for me will be 1lb), hopefully more.
Have a good day everyoneA smile costs little but creates much0 -
Been to WI. lost 0.5LB
Sick of listening to how others have eaten God knows what and still lost half a stone. Wish it was me.
Anyway,
B bananas
L pasta salad
D chicken and chips with pickles (sw style) may have chicken in a wm bun as my heb.0 -
Well done midge and auntycat. :T
I remember a tip from kathrynha to just eat some of the batter from the top of the fish. The bottom tends to be soggy anyway and it does save lots of syns. Plus mushy peas are free! If it was me I'd treat myself cat. Nothing like fish & chips by the sea.:)
I've got another funeral today but planning just to go to the church so should be able to avoid nibbles again.
I've done my meal plan and shopping list so will sort that later.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, half HEB toast with scrambled eggs, HEA milk for drinks
L: Just going to finish off various scraps from fridge (beetroot, cottage cheese, ham, tomatoes)chicken stir fry with noodles
Syns: HP sauce 1, honey (in sauce) 2.5, not decide on weekend wine yet
What are drinks like in India denise?0 -
Well done Beanie, auntycat and Midge on your losses and welcome back Denise.
Yesterday went very off plan. Spent most of it at the hospital with my daughter so the bit of fruit I'd shoved in my bag didn't last at all.
She dislocated her shoulder opening a car door, but thankfully back in place now and should heal pretty quickly.
Today's plan:
Breakfast - weetabix and milk
Lunch - steak salad
Dinner - shepherds pie
HAs - milk and cheese
HB - weetabix
Syns - dressing (2), gravy (2)Zebras rock0 -
Hello all! Well done on your losses Beanie, AuntyCat and Matron!
Oof your poor daughter Kathrynha, bet that was painful.
Maman, two funerals in as many days! Sending hugs x
Thanks for the gammon info Marmite, your recipe sounds lovely and festive! I think I'll give the one I linked to a try as it's from a SW blog, I'll report back.
Welcome home Denise! Kitchen situation sounds ... challenging!
Woman was giving out her delicious vegan cakes again last night at my evening class. Proud to say mine is still in the fridge, waiting for after I've weighed in in the morning :A
Today:
B - None
D - Cinnamon porridge
T - Savoury mince (cont. onions, mushrooms, carrots and peas) with mashed potato and swede (neeps and tatties!) (I'm not Scottish)
HEA - Milk
HEB - Oats
Syns - Sugar in coffee (4), butter in mash (4), hot choc (2) = 10
Weigh day tomorrow...!!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Maman spirits are really cheap but wine tends to be much more expensive in comparison. Spirit measures are generally 60ml unless you ask for a small one! Unfortunately no diet tonic to go with the gin! Only diet drink I saw was coke which I can't stand! Stick with the local spirits as much cheaper than brand names. The most I paid for a large gin was 120 Rupees - about £1.30!
Tete - you're right it is very challenging with no kitchen. Not too much of a problem at the moment as I'm not really eating still as still got a bit of "Delhi belly"! Definitely not nice, have been to Dr this morning and he's given me a short course of antibiotics & some tablets to take if I feel nauseous.
Bought some diced beef and veg to make a stew in the SC over the weekend. Also bought a gammon joint which I'll do in the SC with some onions, garlic, carrots & potatoes which will do for a couple of days next week.
Managed to pick up a YS half leg of lamb so have chucked that in the freezer for another couple of meals at some time.
Well done all the losers. Weighed myself this morning and am actually back in target range but not because of eating properly! Think most of it was the amount of walking we did - between 5 and 7 miles most days, paddling along the beach.
Going to have a bit of toast for lunch. Not sure what we'll have tonight but have got a couple of cooked jackets in the freezer so may get them out and reheat them in my halogen oven (if I can find it!).
