True, cause was thinking and i know that's dangerous:rotfl::rotfl:but the new thing for target members they came out with last yr, well wasnt that 2 hexa? now its for everyone :cool:They're now saying to have extra Syns but select "Savvy syns" rather than sweets, crisps & alcohol! The number of extra syns depends on your average weight loss in the 8 weeks prior to reaching target. Have a look in the new book it's got details about it in there.
Denise
How boring is that! Unless you're a big fan of bread or cheese I'd rather have wine any day!
When I got to target, extra HEXs were recommended for maintaining. But as I posted earlier, extra wine syns were my choice.
Were the lamb steaks a ready meal sary? Where from?0 -
Absolutely agree Maman! Most of my syns go on alcohol of some sort or the other!
Delhi belly is much better now after a couple of doses of antibiotics. I actually human this morning!
Am trying to stick to plan even though I've been unwell. Only ate 2 slices of WM toast with a scrape of spread yesterday; was told by Dr not to have any diary products but could eat as normal but just didn't feel like eating. Had a couple of cups of black tea but drank mostly plain water.
Today's plan:
B - SW fry up - cooked by DH at about 6am! Had less than usual but really enjoyed it after a day with not much!
L - ham & tomato sandwich
D - HM beef & veg meatballs (from freezer) in a HM tomato sauce. Will probably have it with some pasta
HEA1 - milk in tea
HEA2 - probably won't have
HEB - bread
Syns - spread 3; not sure what else, depends how much I feel like eating later

Good morning! Glad you're feeling better Denise!Mad_with_money wrote: »I decided to take a conscious look at what is going on and it's evident how the syns are slipping in (dropped in unplanned at Parents today and one homemade scone with butter and jam later...)
Welcome! This is exactly my problem. I spend a lot of time with my elderly granny - taking her out shopping or in the house. She often offers a snack or a meal and I don't want to offend by saying no, especially if she's taken the trouble to bake. I've had to start being stern as I see her that often that she'd knock me off track for 3 or 4 days out of the week. (She won't come to me for lunch - I've tried that approach.)They're now saying to have extra Syns but select "Savvy syns" rather than sweets, crisps & alcohol!
Boring indeed - and tbh I think once you've been doing SW a while you get used to syn free meals and don't miss the butter, cream, etc. We just want treats!!!
Well, I'm delighted to report a 3lb loss this week! That's my first half stone gone and I was stupidly excited to stick a sticker in my planner :rotfl: I don't know how I'm so "on it" at the moment, I haven't felt this motivated in years, fingers crossed it continues. I feel a lot less bloated but still can't really see it in the mirror.
Today:
B - None
D - Bacon and mushroom sandwich
T - SW ready meal which I'll pretend is a takeaway
HEA - Milk
HEB - 2x WM crustless
Syns - Sugar in coffee (4), butter (3) ... I'm at a local celebration event thingy all afternoon with my running club so there may well be cake, and I may have a choccy bar tonight.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Great loss Tete. Enjoy your event this afternoon - remember "be good when you can and careful when you can't". You know you can always rein it back in during the week!

Morning :hello:
Welcome newbies0 -
Amazed at2lb off this week
DH been ill all week and I've been v stressed ,
I'm a known comfort eater so doubly pleased I've managed0 -
Great losses tete and sue. :T
Sorry to hear your DH is still unwell sue. Well done for not comfort eating, best to only buy in SW friendly foods.:)
I hate to tell you but it's a myth that chocolate and cake are syn free on WI day tete.:rotfl:
When I first joined SW we had two sisters in the group who used to go to their mum's every WI day and have a full fat roast dinner with pudding. And someone else I knew used to call in at the chippy every week on the way home from WI. I know I use most of my syns at weekends but the idea of blowing half a week syns on one meal every WI day is scary.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, kippers, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: bacon, egg and something speed (probably omelette)Asda curry with extra veg, HM pilau and SW chips
Syns: kippers 1.5, weekend wine
The curry is one of those frozen Asda Slimzone ones which is allegedly free but SW won't put on synsonline.0 -
Morning (sorry, it's afternoon!)
Just here quickly to post todays menu
Brunch - bacon, egg, tomatoes, large orange (i love the navel oranges that are about at the moment)
D - Pizza (base made with Aldi's bread mix and reduced fat mozzarella, weighed out too!) salad maybe a few wedges.
Have a good day,0 -
