    Evening,

So many losers this evening - well done!

Spent most of today doing boring chores, cleaning, washing, shopping, etc. Noticed the days are staying lighter for longer though, so those spring days aren't too far off, surely?

    Meal plan today:
B - porridge HEB with apple, sugar (1)
L - porridge (3) - I know it's repetitive, but I made a bit too much for breakfast, so split it into 2 small bowls
D - roast chicken, mixed salad, wholegrain rice with quinoa, sunflower & pumpkin seeds (1.5), dressing (2) I couldn't eat all the rice, but it was nice enough

One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Been a busy and not great weekend for me. Had daughter quite upset as school aren't willing to take her on an outward bounds trip. I don't really blame them as she can injure in her sleep, so adventurous activities are quite a risk, but upset for daughter too.
Took her out shopping and had dinner out this weekend as a treat.

Weigh in tomorrow, and it could go anyway. Star week so hormones are in charge.

    Today's plan:
    Breakfast - yogurt and fruit
    Lunch - noodles and veg
    Dinner - dirty rice
    Snacks -fruit and sf jelly

    HAs - milk and cheese
    HB - sesame seeds
    Syns - noodle sauce (1), jelly (0.5)

Sorry to hear about your DD kathrynha. It's tough on her but I don't expect the school has the resources to manage her issues alongside all the others.:(

Fingers crossed you get to see a loss this week.:)

Good to be properly back on plan today after my weekend wine. I'm eating out twice this week so working on the 'good when I can' principle and today is one of the being good days!:D

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk, half banana
L: cold pork with fried veg and pickles
D: baked salmon, SW chips, cauli steak, broccoli, asparagus, tomatoes and mushrooms
    Syns: syrup 2.5

Incidentally, how many of us are having the extra HEA from the new plan? Personally I'm sticking with the old way but feel a little more comfortable if I have Parmesan on Bolognese or go over on milk.:)

I'd got out of the habit of measuring my HAs, so now I'm just doing the same but without feeling guilty as I know where I probably was have over 1 HA, I definitely am having less than 2.

So sorry that your DD is unable to go on the Outward Bound course Kathrynha but as Maman says it's probably due to not having the resources to deal with her problems.

Like you Maman I'm not having the extra HEA every day but it's useful if I want to have some cheese occasionally or if I'm having Weetabix for breakfast! The only other cereal I have is porridge but I make that with water but may use 1/2 & 1/2 when I next have it!

    Today's plan:

    B - 2 Weetabix with milk - HEB & 0.5 HEA
L - Jacket potato (from freezer), spread & cheese 0.5 HEA, pickles (if I can get at them in the spare room!
D - LO beef stew, potatoes
Snack - fruit bun with spread

    HEA - milk for tea
    HEA - milk 0.5; cheese 0.5
    Syns - fruit bun 9.5; spread 3

Needed the snack mid morning as the Weetabix just didn't fill me up and I haven't got any fruit at the moment!

I'm hoping that the fridge/freezer gets into the kitchen later today and then I'll be able to stock up on some fruit and veg! At the moment I've only got one shelf in the fridge so can't actually get much in it once the milk, eggs, bread & spread is in it! Will be going shopping tomorrow.

    Same here kathrynha.:)

I measured milk when I first started and most days, using it for drinks, I was under my allowance. Days when I have cereal I go over. So I stopped measuring as it probably balanced out OK over a week, although I know that's unofficial. Then if I had Parmesan (once a week max) I'd syn it.

So, like you, I'm using the new plan to take the guilt away!:D
  • Hi all, thanks for the welcome.

So my discoveries at the weekend, polos are 7 syns , that's a blow for my 1hr 30 min round trip to work once a week. Need to investigate a replacement.

Hubby often cooks chicken wraps on a sat and these are defo not syn friendly so need to look at this too....

When I did sw first go round I did really well, a couple of pounds off target when I stopped going. I did however do all the sugar substitutes, I.e diet drinks, sweetners, mullerlights etc. I am not so comfortable with doing that this time round and want to avoid all sweetners. It's certainly going to make it more of a challenge, is anyone else managing it without all the sweetner products?

    Today's plan:
B - porridge with blueberries and raspberries
L- pasta with LO chicken and salad.
D - hm chilli, rice and lots of veg.

I've not cut them out completely but I don't have a huge amount.. I don't eat Mullers as I'm not much of a yogurt fan. I do have some NAS squash daily and diet tonic occasionally. This is my 9th year of doing SW and I'm on my 3rd tub of sweetener (for adding to occasional recipe or sharp fruit) so that's not excessive.

I know some people are very concerned about aspartame particularly. I've read the information and I'm happy with moderation.:)
