    Afternoon all.

Yesterday went to plan until I was up till after 3am - DD2 and I spent all last night coughing and I got up so as not to disturb OH - and having had tea early yesterday I was hungry. So a few digestive biscuits later I broke the syn barrier big style! Never mind, back on it today.

B/L (got up very late) Oat pancakes, blackberries and yoghurt with a drizzle of honey (1)
D Some kind of speedy pasta bake.
Aiming to keep syns as low as I can today!

Well done to everyone with small gains over Christmas - all goes to show that you can still enjoy a celebration without too much damage.

I'm in the process of writing a long promised post about following SW from home. I know that many value the support from attending group but it's not do-able or affordable for everyone - watch this space!

Managed just a small amount of cake, and have managed to change tonights meal out to my friends coming round her, so that is on plan too. What could have been a really bad day is now within my syn allowance :)

That's good to hear kathrynha. :)

Bad news and they've already changed the Lamb Rogan Josh in my Aldi.:( It's now got pilau rice in with it. I didn't buy any until I knew the syns so I've taken a photo of the ingredients and food values and I'll work it out later. I've bought one of their Slimsomething SW fake chicken Tikka's instead and hope that it won't be too synful.

Shopping was a bit of a nightmare altogether. I suppose stock is slow to be delivered after the holiday. Usually I can get most of what I want in Aldi but today I had to go to Sainsbury's as well. :(

I'm having an alcohol free Friday which is unusual for me. It'll be a struggle but hopefully worth it at next WI.:)

    Thank Alpen bar it's Friday!

I could get used to a 3 day week, but don't think my boss would be too impressed. I'd definitely benefit from the extra time to plan my meals. I didn't do too badly today, and did have an idea in mind from the get go what I'd have (which does make a change).

B - porridge with water & splash of milk from HEA1. 1 tsp sugar (1 syn)
L - Covent Garden chicken & barley soup (7 syns); 0% fat greek yog & apples (1 syn)
D - 3 egg omelette with mushrooms, onions, lean bacon & tomatoes HEA2 cheese; Muller choc fix 4.5 syns
    Snacks: satsuma, banana
Total syns: 14.5 syns (the majority of my syns are for the 141 cal soup and 99 cal dessert, which isn't 'bad' food as such, and could have been wasted on cake)

Small win again for me today, when I resisted the 2nd day of the Malteser sheet cake in the office kitchen. I also packed away all the chocolates left in the kitchen at work and have hidden them in a cupboard. I'm sure everyone else will thank me for it.... eventually! :rotfl:

I've bought 2 cartons of the Covent Garden tomato soup - can anyone confirm that's classed as a HEB? Info online is outdated that I can see from searching.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
