What a brilliant nsv esmy. Hopefully all the stuff will end up in a good home. When I got to target, my nsv was the reverse...

All my bigger clothes (not much) that I've bought out of necessity the last year or two are leggings, comfy jumpers, jersey dresses - I've invested in one pair of smart trousers for work/interviews and one pair of jeans just because I literally couldn't wear any of my old ones, but certainly none of it sparks joy! I'll be glad to fit into my 'proper' clothes again.

Have a lovely holiday Maman and wear those thin dresses with pride! :D

You're such a good neighbour Denise, that's a very early start!

Well done to all the losers/maintainers! We're all doing well to be into February and still going strong!

    Today:
    B - None
D - Cinnamon porridge; snack of clementines and passionfruit this aft
T - Pork chop, grilled tomatoes, and going to have a go at carrot 'chips' in the air fryer - wish me luck!
    HEA - Milk
    HEB - Oats
Syns - Sugar in porridge and coffee (6), hot choc (2) = 8
    Weightloss: 14.5/65lb

Pinch of noms syn free onion bhajis are good

I didn't look at those for syns... :T:T Thank you and a good idea to use them for Scotch eggs. I might give that a go :j

They make good stuffing balls to go with roast chicken too. I just defrost them, cut them in half and roll into balls then add them to the roast potatoes for the last 15 minutes or so. :)
  • hi all

some good losses, and 1lb a week adds up to a stonking 52lbs in a year :rotfl:

reporting a 1 lb loss going slow but steady, though I though I had stuck to plan better than last week

    Hey ho, will carry on

OOps nearly forgot, went to Bakewell and had to sample the bakewell pudding.... and tart :o

I've done that too but haven't recently. Will have to try to remember next time I do a roast!

    Evening all,
It's a STS for me this week. Seems to be the trend for some of us this week doesn't it? Was really hoping for a loss, but hey ho, hope to see it there next week. Have bought the latest SW mag today for inspiration and it's got a recipe book too I see.

Flying visit with today's meal plan:

    B - banana & apple
L - porridge HEB, sugar (1) & splash of milk from HEA - rest in tea/coffees
D - bacon, eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, quorn sausages x 2 (3 - not sure of syns) ketchup (1)
    snack - mango & 0% greek yogurt

My boss and his wife have both just started SW and despite having a birthday meal out that was apparently VERY off-plan, and miscalculating some wraps, they've both lost 1lb and 2lb respectively. They eat a lot of cake and takeaways, but both have health issues, so I suspect they are both going to benefit hugely from it. They weren't aware I was following the plan, so I told the wife it was perfect if you have a healthy appetite (the do, my boss is renowned for his antics at an all you can eat buffet).
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

Thanks for the burger info, maman. It looks like I won’t get them as the Sainsbury’s I use is small, just 3 checkouts. I don’t often buy frozen stuff so I’ll have a look next time I’m in, whenever that will be!

Denise, sometimes I wonder if health service/hospitals take account of where people live when appointments are made. That said, they’ve always accommodated my need to get back to collect grandson from school.

I like the LMcC roro sausages, marmite, but I just haven’t been able to get hold of them locally lately.

    Well done, chocomonsta.

Just found out that Hugh Jackman has added dates in Glasgow, tickets on sale from Friday - and I'm out all day!!!!! Aaaaaaaaghhhh!

  • Hi everyone. Only 1 more weigh in to my hols.
Trying to stay on plan as best I can but I'm finding it tough at the moment. Consigned to being out of range again when we get home but I guess that is life!
I saw the 2 lads from chubby Cubs on to last night. They've really done well! I read on their Facebook page that although the do SW, they do it loosely and don't Syn avocado, oil and nor do they eat "fake food" ie muller light. I think that is quite brave to admit it and actually quite wise.
I'll pop back on later with a plan for the next couple of days.

greentiger my friend actually chose to go to that hospital. The reason being it's close to their daughter's house and his wife would be able to stay there while he's in and able to visit which she would be unable to do if she was at home as she doesn't drive. It's not much further time wise than our "local" hospital which is about 45 minutes on a good day and can take over an hour if you need to get to the hospital for a 9.00 or 9.30am appointment as it's along much smaller roads with 30 and 40 mph roads!

    Today's plan:

B - scrambled eggs on toast
L - jacket potato, cottage cheese, coleslaw (0.5 syn for LTL mayo), pickles
D - stuffed turkey breast, roasted veg & roast potatoes (had to get a turkey breast to share as the chicken breasts were far too small to stuff!), may also do some cabbage

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - soft cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - LTL mayo 0.5; Actimel 1.5; not sure what else, if anything

I've lost 2 kg in 3 weeks. No alcohol, salads, soups, cut down on carbs, banana for breakfast...
You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.
