Evening all
Vixstar I bet you must look like a very different person to be almost 3st down. It really gives me incentive to stick with the plan to hope that could be me!!:D
Work has been mental today, and I was simply too busy to really think about food, which is good I suppose!
Meal plan went something like this:
B - banana
L - porridge HEB, sugar (1) milk from HEA - rest in tea/coffees
D - SlimWell veg balti (free) with l/o beef & carrots + spoon of extra curry sauce in fridge (2)
snack - nectarine
The Aldi Slim Well meal was OK, but found it a bit lacking, and a tad watery despite being spicy. It just needed a bit 'extra', so that's why I had some additional sauce. All in all though, I don't mind these meals, and they are full of veggies, low fat, no sugar, and perfect after the kind of day I have had at work. OH had the chicken saag when he got home later too. Plus they're very filling.
Trying to work out a plan for our meals ahead this week, as I find planning is essential to keeping me on track. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -

Every cloud has a silver lining, maman. BTW, last night we decided to book a weekend at Dingwall (usually we just go up and back on match day) to coincide with the match up there on 16th, since it was close to Valentine’s Day. Just about 7.30 tonight, we heard the match has been postponed to allow Ross County to play a challenge cup tie on the 15th, so we’ve cancelled our weekend too.
BGTY quarter pounders at 1 syn.
Are these fresh or frozen, maman?
Well done, Vixstar and Penny.
TTD, I hope you feel better soon – and congrats on the fab losses.
If you don’t have time to chat with us before you go, maman, have a great trip; you’ll love it, although be prepared to have your eyes opened. It certainly made me appreciate what we have much more.
Ah well, as expected I had a wee gain today; just 0.4lbs, so not as bad as it might have been.
Thanks for all the good wishes. We fly out late on Wednesday so still here for a day or so.
Shame about your trip greentiger . It's infuriating when kick off times are changed. It happens to us A LOT.
The BGTY burgers are frozen. They only seem to sell them in large Sainsburys branches.
I had the first of the HM beefburgers tonight. They were OK but I think I prefer the pork ones I make.
Well done to all losers tonight :T0 -
Up early this morning to take a friend to hospital nearly 50 miles away! He needed to be there before 7am so we gave ourselves plenty of time as the motorway has got road works on it so very slow at times. Fortunately we had a good run through and made it in about an hour so he was there with plenty of time to spare. Got home and made breakfast as didn't have time before we left at just after 5.30am (don't think I could have eaten that early anyway!)
Today's plan:
B - baked oats, mixed frozen fruit & quark
L - pea & ham soup to use up the last of the gammon joint
D - cottage pie, cabbage and mashed swede
HEA - milk in drinks; probably won't have the 2nd HEA
HEB - porridge oats
Syns - no idea other than my Actimel 0% for 1.5. May have a couple of Lotus Biscoff with my afternoon cup of tea so another 4 Syns.

Morning all.
Well done vixstar, Pennylane and TTD and Mrs TTD. Lots of us STS this week but at least it isn't a gain.
Have a wonderful trip Maman!
Todays Menu
B 1/2 grapefruit, porridge (1 tsp sugar between them)
L HM spicy carrot and lentil soup, Scotch egg made with Linda McCartney sausages, salad
D Chilli salmon with stir fry veg and noodles
I was talking to a pal last night who has started SW and is delighted with her losses so far. We shared lots of tips and recipes.
And an NSV - the very last of my 'fat' clothes went on ebay/to the charity shop this week. These were things I'd been loathe to part with (smart work suits, good coats) - I don't need suits and I looked like I was wearing my Dad's clothes in the coats!0 -
Wow! That was an early start denise. Shame the appointment wasn't last week when you were walking up in the middle of the night anyway!:D
What a brilliant nsv esmy. Hopefully all the stuff will end up in a good home. When I got to target, my nsv was the reverse. I'd been steadily gaining weight for about 10 years before I decided to join SW. From my 'thin' clothes I'd kept just a couple of gorgeous silk tea dresses, a long black one and a velvet coat. I just couldn't part with them. I'm now able to wear them (2 are coming on holiday with me) and it gives me great pleasure even though I've been at target almost 8 years.:)
Today's plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, scrambled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: LO beef casserole and veg (didn't mange it yesterday)SW Bolognese with spaghetti or tagliatelle
Syns: none
I did have half a bar (3.5 syns) of 70% chocolate last night so it's possible that I may finish it tonight, unless DH gets there first!:rotfl:0 -
Good afternoon.....Just popping in for a quickie and to say well done to all the losers and STSs this week....:T:T
I might be wrong but I am sure these are 2 syns each. On offer in Teskies/Asdas/Morrisons for £1
Linda Mccartney 6 Vegetarian Sausages 300G
Also LM Linda Mccartney 2 Mozzarella Burgers 227G £1 4 syns
These are same price but Asda only
Linda McCartney's Meat Free 6 Red Onion & Rosemary Sausages
Checked various places for syns and it varies on different sites.[STRIKE]68 [STRIKE]Mouses[/STRIKE] [/STRIKE]
OMG, I'm rich! Silver in the hair, Gold in the teeff, Crystals in the Kidney, Sugar in the blood, Lead in the butt, Iron in the arteries and an inexhaustible supply of natural gas! I never thought I would accumulate such wealth!! :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
The Red Onion and Rosemary Sausages are actually Free. I have them quite often. They make a good covering for scotch eggs!

Anybody else got a Taster event coming up? We have Free Food coming up. I keep thinking of things to take and then realise it has just a couple of syns so is no good.
Any suggestions? I just had pasta with hrd boiled eggs, tuna, spring onions and sweetcorn for lunch but that has a couple of tbspns of light mayo so that’s out too.0 -
Pennylane - have a look at the online website. There are loads of recipes which are Free. There is even a section called 5 minute Free Snacks with several ideas, including hard boiled eggs! You could just boil some eggs and quarter them so people can just pick up a quarter.
I'm either going to make some hummus or falafel - haven't decided which yet!
