  • Morning all,

My plan for the day is:

    B - Nothing
D - Bacon, leek and potato soup (3), WM bun (HEB)
T - Pork chop, SW chips, carrots, mushrooms
    HEA - Milk
    HEB - Bun
Syns - soup (3), sugar (4), probably some lebekuchen! (3.5)

The soup is a frozen homemade one, can't remember why I labelled it as 3 syns, I suspect it has milk and butter in, in which case probably more like 2 syns now the milk allowance has increased... I'm loving this new HEA!

Plan for today is sort out upstairs, where I dumped all the Christmas boxes yesterday - wah!

Hello all the one people and hello to everyone else too.

ChrisV please can you put me down for holiday this week.

Back to it properly now, enjoyed the Christmas foods but can't say I enjoyed how they made me feel.
Off to make some parsnip soup shortly to keep me full and warm

    Happy new year to everyone.

    Morning all.

Weighed in (at home) this morning and I'm the heaviest I've been since reaching target in March:eek: still within target range, just, but I'm happier at the bottom end. So ChrisV, can I join the challenge with a goal of 6lb please. I need to be accountable in some way as I do SW from home!

I will be following EE plan rather than the new one so some syn counts may be a little bit out. It worked for me before so I don't see why it shouldn't work again. The hard bit will be going back to one HEB as I'm a carb fiend.

    So, today's meals:

B Bran flakes, 0% greek yoghurt, banana, drizzle of honey (1 syn)
L HM broccoli and stilton soup (5 for the cheese) - I made this yesterday and it's delicious, so I'm eating it before the rest of the family pinch it!
D Sweet chilli salmon, stir fried veg, noodles (1.5 for the sauce)

    HEA - milk in drinks
Snacks- fruit, maybe a yoghurt (1) or Alpen light (3)

Off to revise my meal plan for the week. Good luck everyone.

    Hi all
Crawling back again with my tail between my legs. Fell like a faulty yoyo. Really struggling with time for myself, and motivation to stay on plan when life is so hectic.

However first day back in the office today, and had my first post Christmas weigh in last night. All we can say about that is I enjoyed Christmas!

Feeling determined to get back on plan as clothes are feeling a little tight, but I refuse to buy bigger ones.

Target for this challenge is 10lb please

    Today's plan:
    Breakfast - yogurt and fruit
    Lunch - pasta salad
Dinner - At mum, so not sure what but it will be okay
Snacks - fruit and SF jelly

    HA's - milk and cheese
    HB - none planned yet
    Syns - olives (0.5), salad cream (1), jelly (0.5), yogurt (1)

I'm finding coming on this thread helps as even though I am not fully SW (yet), I am getting some good ideas for what to eat.

Esmy - that soup sounds well nice, do you mind posting the recipe?

    My plan for today is:-

    B - Coffee

L - Chicken Arrabbiata (no idea on syns, but it's 294 cals from Morrisons)
Okyos Yogurt - high syns, but might as well eat them till they are gone
    Hula Hoop Puffs

D - Chicken Wraps or Tacos with Salad

    S - Tea
    Alpen Bar
Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010
    Mortgages (End 2017) - £180,235.03
    (End 2021) - £131,215.25 DID IT!!!
    (End 2022) - Target £116,213.81

Are pasta sauces free? I think I would be quite happy eating pasta and sauce for my lunch every day going on what I'm eating at the moment. But I need something simple to make that can be heated in the microwave at work.

If it's the Eat Smart 350g chilled pack it is 6.5 syns

Some pasta sauces are free, and very easy to make free ones.
There are SW ones available from Iceland. No idea what they are like though.

For a really easy sauce Aldi do bottles of passata that are free. They come in basil and oregano or garlic and onion flavours.
Great for making an easy Bolognese too.

Just popping in to put up my meal plan for the day, as it helps me to keep track.

    B - Banana
    L - Covent Garden chicken/barley soup (7 syns) ; 0% greek yogurt with apple (1.5 syns) & cinnamon
    D - H/M turkey stew

    Snacks - apple; satsuma

HEB - Alpen light x 2 (honestly, if they get any smaller they'll disappear!)

    HEA - Milk in coffees

Extra Syns: 2 x dolce gusto cafe au lait - 4 syns
    TOTAL SYNS: 12.5

I'm not bothered too much about the soup at lunchtime as it's only 141 cals & it's got good fibre and protein content, but I've synned it all the same. I thoroughly enjoyed it too. I'd rather syn soup than eat rubbish at this moment in time whilst trying to get out of the habit of eating nothing but lately.

It's this one, adapted for SW by using Frylight instead of oil/ butter, a bit less cheese than in recipe and I had no celery! It made roughly 6 portions.

I get you on that. I feel it is better to use some syns on something not too bad, or to enhance your meals, than to use all your syns on junk.

I like salad, but if I try to make it too healthy I will soon get bored of it. Instead I like to add a few flavour punches even if they add some syns. Todays salad had olives, pickled onions (yes know they are free), grated cheese and salad cream. They took a boring salad to a really lush one that I really enjoyed.
