Have had a busy day, but felt a bit peckish most of the morning, so was glad when lunchtime arrived, only to realise I'd taken a pot of kvarg in to have for breakfast as well as fruit. Would have been useful if I'd remembered it, but hey ho, it came in handy later.

    Menu today:
    B - nectarine, banana
L - porridge HEB, splash of milk from HEA & sugar (1)
FF 0% greek yog with apple slices (1.5)
snack - satsuma, kvarg quark (0.5)
D - chicken with mushrooms, savoury rice, mixed salad: lettuce, peppers, onions, tomatoes, carrot, sweetcorn, cucumber, dressing (2)

Dinner was really delicious, and definitely one of my favourites. Also very easy to make, so that makes it even more reason to be a favourite. I'd intended OH could have his as a fajita, but he said he didn't need a wrap too, so saving those for another time.

Whoops! Think I forgot to add my loss last weekend.

Lost another 2lbs so total is now 8lb loss.
  • - 1/2lb for me, not great, but at least it is a loss. We just did weighs last night as there was so much uncertainty about the weather and didn't really want those reliant on public transport getting caught, there was actually quite a good turnout, think they were happy to nip in and out. Had a recent joiner tell us that her 13 year old son is doing it also, he is too embarrassed to come to group but happy to follow the process, he has lost a stone, she said he is very active, plays alot of sport but is a big kid but he has adapted to the lifestyle like a duck to water. Group leader sent her home with certificates for the milestones, she thinks, and we agreed, that he is amazing for doing this and the little encouragement will give him that little boost that he is getting support externally.

Chris, I'm off down the Nile next week, so could you put me down for holiday and pray that I do my best!

That's great to hear about the members 13 year old following the plan. I think the consultant is right about a little encouragement from external support. Did the consultant also give her the details of the Free2Go for the youngster? If not, perhaps suggest to her that she has a look at it online. There's a useful piece at the bottom of the page under Useful Features. Perhaps with a bit of encouragement he'll feel able to attend group as well in the future.

Enjoy your holiday next week GTQ. How long you going for?

    Today's plan:

    B - toasted bacon & mushroom sandwich
    L - HM carrot & lentil soup
D - Lemon Sole, chips, peas followed by a big slice of watermelon!

    HEA - milk
HEA2 - probably won't have - like most people only have it if I want extra milk or to use some cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - may have some wine this evening depending on if I actually fancy it! Otherwise no idea

Yes, she did tell her about the Free2Go, he may take encouragement from complete strangers and be happy to join, but mum doesn't want to force the issue if things are going well, which is understandable. Hopefully we will get to meet him and give a huge round of applause richly deserved.

Off for a week, really looking forward to it!

:T well done to penny and gtq on your losses.

I think that consultant was excellent sending home the stickers. It'll really boost the lad's confidence knowing that everyone's rooting for him.:)

Good to know you're feeling more like your normal self.:D

We did get out for our meal last night. Little snow here and what we've had is wet and not really sticking at all. The menu had changed so I had to rethink my choices. I had moules to start and then braised beef. I did eat a piece of bread and handcut chips but they weren't greasy and quite large so probably not too bad overall. Then there were wine syns.;)

I've done my meal plan and food shop up until we go away. I'm hoping to use up all or most of the fresh stuff so nothing gets wasted.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, 2 fried eggs, baked beans, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with cottage cheese, spring onions, beetroot, pickled cabbage, ham
D: baked haddock, SW chips, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, mushy peas
    Syns: weekend wine:j

Happy new cat, Tete! If it’s just plates in the microwave, I always put a splash of water on each. If I’m cooking something, I sit the dish on top of the plates.

Thanks GT, this is what I ended up doing :)

Very jealous of those of you off on hols. We have a bit of snow here and I plan on hibernating all weekend, I can't wait!

Completed Week 4 of C25K in the snow this morning. Legs are a bit achey now as you use different muscles to avoid slipping. Stretching needed!

WI in the morning so will report back then, have a fab Friday night all, keep warm!

Poor you. I know you usually have your dinner early. Well that's early for me as we always eat about 7.30pm unless we're going out for the evening. Will your sister be having KFC cooked for her? ;)

I'm away from Wednesday for 2 weeks. That's why I have to try to eat up all the fresh stuff in the next few days. I hate wasting anything. :money:

I don't think I'd want orange Smarties in a wine glass beanie . I'll stick to my Sauvignon Blanc. :D
