I'm probably going to sound very dense here, but how do you warm plates in a microwave? Can you just put them in 'dry'? Why do I feel as though they'd explode?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Good morning.....
After my indulgence last weekend I was not expecting anything other than a gain. But to my surprise I have lost 1/2 lb this week....I am extremely happy with that.
Well done to everyone who have lost....:j:j[STRIKE]68 [STRIKE]Mouses[/STRIKE] [/STRIKE]

Well done Marmite!
My plan for today:
B - None
D - Quorn bacon and mushroom scrambled omelette on toast with beans
T - Beef and mushroom stroganoff, green beans, brown rice
HEA - Milk
HEB - 2x wm crustless
Syns - Sugar in coffee (4), butter on toast (3), stroganoff (2.5), hot choc (2) = 11.5
In non-SW news, I've been in touch with cats protection and I'm getting my details put onto the new cat's chip so she is now officially a member of the family :happyhearWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Glad you didn't completely sabotage yourself marmite!:TTete_en_l'Air wrote: »I'm probably going to sound very dense here, but how do you warm plates in a microwave? Can you just put them in 'dry'? Why do I feel as though they'd explode?
No exploding plates here tete! A quick ping is excellent to warm them up. I always do it if I'm cooking on the hob. DH makes our porage in the microwave and I always use it for softening onions. It takes so long to sweat/fry onions from raw so a couple of minutes with a splash of water to start them off is magic.
Good news about your cat.:)
I'm supposed to be eating out tonight but snow is forecast and I wouldn't be surprised if my friend decides to cry off. If that happens then I'll just have to rustle up burger and chips from the freezer or I might take some fish out now and if I don't need it, we can have it tomorrow.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, overnight oats with red berries, HEA milk for drinks
L: ham, fried veg and beetroottbc;)

Yep, she's big one already. I'll try and get a couple of pics up next week.
Gained 0.5 at weigh in. Birthday cake, wine and chocolate aren't good for dieting. Who knew?
However, if I am still on the chart, I'd lost 3lb in the two weeks previously!
It's freezing here so I brought leftover savoury mince in for my dinner, with cabbage and leeks for extra speed0 -
Went to WI and pleased I'd only put on 1.5lb and still in target range - just 1lb above my actual target. Being ill probably helped a bit, LOL! although definitely not nice to go through.
Have decided I'm going to have a light breakfast on a Thursday before going to WI as was getting fed up with being hungry until after I'd weighed!
Today's plan:
B - weetabix & milk - HEA/HEB; 1 quality street (it was someone's birthday at group) 2 Syns
L - 25g of DH's pork pie 5 Syns, jacket potato, cottage cheese, pickled onions, HM coleslaw with added grated celeriac, 0.5 syn for LTL mayo
D - LO cottage pie, cabbage, mashed swede 1 syn for some spread
Denise
HEA1 & 2 - milk
HEB - weetabix
Syns - quality street 2; mayo 0.5; spread 1; 0% fat NAS Actimel strawberry 1.5 syn; pork pie 50 -
I read that as having a Quality Street breakfast before WI!:rotfl:
I always eat before WI because the day I started I didn't finally make up my mind to go until after breakfast. I always have Weetabix though as it's the lightest.
Now you've done it once it becomes the norm.0 -
Don't think the Quality Street was worth the syns though - thought it was a nutty one and it was a sort of fudge/truffle type filling which I'm not really keen on those.
I always used to have breakfast before WI until I went on what was supposed to be my 4 month holiday which ended up as 2 blocks of 6 weeks! But I'd definitely put on loads in that 6 weeks so decided to just have fruit after WI. Definitely felt better this morning having some Weetabix - just wish I'd put hot milk on it! Will be having breakfast in future. Might make some baked oats (in muffin cases) and have one before I leave and the other once I've been weighed as they are not as light as weetabix!
Have just had my 1st alcoholic drink since I got back from holiday! Will only have the one G&T as DH made it a double! Will probably just have tonic with lemon later.

Those are all good losses, Bozwood. marmite and chocomonsta.
I’m glad the SENCO is looking out for your daughter, Kathryn.
Happy new cat, Tete! If it’s just plates in the microwave, I always put a splash of water on each. If I’m cooking something, I sit the dish on top of the plates.
I made the katsu curry from the SW calendar last night; it was very filling and very tasty. And I keep meaning to say I made the pickled cauliflower. It is fine; there’s something I’m not quite sure about in the flavour, but it is definitely not a deal breaker – I will make it again,Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400
