So sorry for your loss GTQ, 58 is very young.

Get well soon everyone who is in pain. It's horrible when you can do nothing about it.

    Stoke look after yourself.

Well done everyone on your losses particularly choca for being our SOTW. Brilliant loss this week sary. Thank you chrisv for the chart as always. You're doing a great job!

Lack of sleep finally caught up with me last night and I went to bed at 7.30pm! Slept until 11.30 when I needed to go to the loo and then went back to sleep and finally got up about 6am. To say I'm feeling better would be an understatement!

It's good to have my cooker back in use and all the appliances in place. The biggest problem now is that all the food which isn't in the fridge/freezer is still boxed up in the spare room and difficult what I need when I want it. Having to do some changes to my menu plan (have only done a week at the moment!) but also having to do substitutions where I can't find the particular ingredient I want. This morning I was stuffed mushrooms and couldn't find the couscous so had to cook some rice instead!

    Today's plan:

B - stuffed mushrooms - rice, chopped mushroom stalks, celery, onion, tomato, topped with some cheese (part HEA)
L - cheese on toast, pickles
D - Cottage pie, swede & carrot mash, brussels

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - probiotic 4; possibly hifi this evening 3

    Have a good day everyone.

    Well done bozwood.:T
    .
Got another diagnosis to add to my ever growing list.....

Poor you:(, but there must be very few ailments where being at a healthy weight isn't helpful.:) What did you think of the SW chips?

Sorry to hear about your back beanie, hope it's a little better today. I get intermittent back pain from a disk problem and while hot water bottles are comforting it's muscle relaxants that help me too. The only trouble is that I'm like a zombie when I take them.:(

You seem to be coping well without your proper kitchen facilities denise. :T I remember a woman who started SW with me (and fell by the wayside) using a kitchen refit as one of her (many) excuses why she couldn't stick to plan. You've proved it can be done!:T

Which reminds me, we haven't seen MrsRyan in an age (she lost loads with limited cooking facilities) and we haven't seen lush for a few weeks either. to any lurkers.

I did really well last night. The buffet did have beige stuff (samosas, pakoras, chips) but I made myself stick to the healthier options. I had smoked salmon and piles of leaves and some whitebait and a quarter sandwich. So, as I'd had only half a HEB the syns were only in the whitebait coating and any mayo in the sandwich. Result!! Even more restrained, I drank tea when people round me were having wine syns!

Back on plan today until I eat out again tomorrow. Looking online, they've taken my favourite off the menu so I may indulge in a synful main. I'm getting into holiday mode already!:D

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, 2 fried eggs, baked beans, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with cottage cheese, beetroot, spring onion
D: SW spaghetti Bolognese (I'm not going to count the Parmesan:eek:)
Syns: possibly half a Crunchie :footie:

Kathryn, when I was teaching, I had responsibility for children with special needs, including physical issues. The way things were as far as inclusion was concerned, was that if a child had an ongoing condition (not temporary) then class activities/events had to be planned in which they could participate, with support where appropriate. If someone was incapacitated thanks to a broken leg caused by a fall rather than an underlying condition, then no additional support need be provided. Fortunately for me, over several years, I didn’t have to manage anything in this area.

After a bit of a fight we now have her able to participate in everything apart from PE no matter what injuries she has and what mobility aids she needs to use. Took some convincing to get them to see it as all part of a disability, as opposed to just lots of injuries, but now the SENCO has my daughter on her list things are all good there.
This trip, there is no way they can make some of the activities safe for my daughter, but wouldn't be right to have the other kids missing out. It's not an essential educational visit, and not all kids go, so they don't need to adapt it.
Will make sure she doesn't miss out on others that I think are suitable though.
An Interesting read for those with fitness trackers.

Popular brands of fitness trackers can overestimate the number of calories burned while walking by more than 50%, tests have found.
Got to say I never totally trust mine. Sometimes the totals are a long way out. Also pushing a wheelchair or supermarket trolley never adds to the steps, as your wrist doesn't move enough.

I like it just to encourage me to move more

Well done on the losses everyone.

You did well at the buffet Maman. Nice that there was some SW friendly foods! Love whitebait but only ever have it as a shared starter with DH so I don't eat too many!

Like you Kathryn my tracker helps me to make sure I move more although not done much since getting back from holiday as the upset tummy put paid to that for the first few days. Hoping to get out later today for a walk to blow the cobwebs away!

Didn't weigh my cheese for the cheese on toast so was probably over but the only Syns I've had is an Actimel probiotic drink (4 syns but worth it to help my tummy).

Well done on your loss sary.
I'm going to copy you and have porridge occasionally for lunch.
I've noticed you posting it before.

Thanks! I find porridge works for me, especially as I can make it in the office, it's really filling, so I don't then seem to need anything else to eat until dinner. I'm usually starving marvin by lunchtime, so it's very welcome.

Healing hugs to all who need them.
    Well done losers :T
Not worked out my menu plan fully today yet, as not sure what to have for dinner tonight.

    B - banana & kvarg pot (0.5)
L - porridge with water (HEB) & splash of milk (HEA) sugar (2)
D - to be updated later
** Edited to add: dinner ended up being an Aldi SlimWell chicken saag, with wholegrain rice & ff yog mint raata

Admire you Denise working out a meal plan from disarray in your home.

Now I've read some conflicting syn values on the aldi take on SW meals at Iceland, and that on the SW app they're coming out at about 21 syns. Having compared the ingredients they seem practically identical, except the Aldi one doesn't contain sweetener. Aldi version as less calories, less fat, less carbs, same fibre and same protein, so I'm going to class it as 'free'. OH also had one and for someone who says he doesn't like curry, he did like it. They are extremely generous, to the point that I struggled to finish mine, and double checked the packaging to make sure it wasn't meant to be for 2 people! As a stand-by quick 'healthy' ping meal they're perfect for us and at £1.99 I'm prepared to pay that too, especially given the generous amount of ingredients.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

    Hello everyone.

Belated thanks for the chart Chris, well done Chocomonsta on SOTW and congrats to all other losers.

Dinner at DD1s on Monday ended up being fish and chips, which I enjoyed at the time but suffered for it yesterday. That much fat in one meal really isn't good for me (but I don't learn!) Back on track today

B bran flakes, berries yoghurt and honey
L Cooked chicken and tomatoes (was going to be salad but no green salad left - shopping tomorrow) orange
D Sausage and mash and lots of veg (added syns in gravy)

I hope everyone feeling under the weather sees some improvement soon.
