Rang a friend (how is that flying? I told you I posted rubbish).
I regularly add "Phone X, Y, Z" to my list. It's about decluttering worries / guilty thoughts at not having phoned for weeks / need for sensible conversation, or simply making progress with organising someone to do a Toots job which is too complicated / high up / heavy / time consuming for me to do it myself.

Just finished the knitting. Now I've got to find time tomorrow to sew them up. There will not be a camel in time for this year, but I plan to make one (or three?) for next year, and possibly an ox too.

Now I need some sleep. G'night all x

Morning all. About to check banking before starting the paid stuff. Priorities today will be sorting fridge and taking decks down.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning all

I noticed yesterday that the cupboard where I keep my plates and dishes is looking a bit grimy which made me wonder when I last cleaned it inside. (This only really came about because it was nearly empty!). Takes a few minutes to wipe a cupboard shelf so need to put that on the list for regular cleaning.

Back to the paid stuff - need to get a shower and get moving. Feel like I have been off work for months!

Hello all! Up early today to get DH lunch sorted as he's back to work today. (I'm quite pleased about that ;) )

Lots planned today from sorting a pile of [STRIKE]useful things[/STRIKE] junk in the garden into the skip, to mucking out goats, litter picking in the paddock as the new Brahma cockerels seem to like tiny flappy bits of anything inedible , ironing some of my mountain, deep cleaning the dining room after all the festivities, ringing the plumber to arrange a repair to some old pipework that burst on Christmas Day, restock the fridge with fruit and veg, stick a winter beef stew in the slow cooker for dinner tonight and bake some cookies for a visit by my girlfriends tomorrow morning.

So, that should take me to about 11.15 this morning...
  • Morning ladies,

DH went back to work today so I was up at 5.30 to wave him off, he's back Friday. Already sent an email chasing yet another late payment....

Today's plans include lots of laundry, constantly checking online banking to see if we've been paid, ringing a window company to arrange a quote for a new bathroom window, and baking with the children.

I'm back to work on Monday and working FT in January so need to be prepared- batch cooking will feature at some point before then.

Will check back in later lovelies xx

ETA - on the Slinky front, some lbs have crept back on over Christmas. I know they are mainly due to alcohol so none will be consumed by me until further notice (gulp).....

    Morning all.

I have somehow managed to sleep through DH getting up and going to work:eek: I have to leave in 5 minutes to collect DD’s friend and take them both to the station for a day out shopping. And obviously the car is frozen over for the first time in a fortnight. Off to scrape that, then I will post my unrealistically long list when I get back.

    Have a good day all.
  • A first in our house today. I am working from home and hubby has the Pickle. They will have a great day, but Pickle is already confused as to why I'm here, but working (he's only 2.5)
Tea is already prepped, so just needs heating through and pasta cooking when I finish at 4:30. Then it's the daily jobs only today (cleaner may be coming, house is ready for that)

Morning everyone, well I’m here and actually dressed and showered. Although that’s cos I am off to “work” shortly for a couple of hours. Then back home for a few hours then back to “work” again for another couple of hours (traffic willing!)

I can’t believe how lovely and bright it is outside, although it’s not particularly warm so I think I may have to wrap up when I go outside shortly. I have Mr Dove looking at me rather forlornly, think he thinks he hasn’t been fed for the past month – wrong!! I think he’s just a little con artist, rather like my youngest cat..lol But I’ll put some bird food outside in a tic as it’s the new year..lol

Valli please don’t close the thread, it’s my life line. Even though I don’t post and I only pop the lists up I do read and say to myself I must post more.. I am going to make an effort this year, even if it’s just to say hello !!! :j:j Plus I have the new laptop now which helps considerably, it goes faster and connects quicker..my other one was getting old and showing it’s age too. Mind it was only 5 years old but it’s amazing how they slow down..

It’s also good to see some of the old regulars returning again, as well the newbies. I think it just highlights that once you use Flylady you really need to keep using it again and again.. Does that make sense??

Well I suppose I had better get myself ready for "work" and write my todo list when I get back. I need to tackly the veg box in the porch, what hasn't gone odd can be frozen, then the odd stuff can be thrown in a pot and made into soup I think.

Hugs and spoons all round, till later. xxxx:T:T:T

Monday - New Years Eve,a bit of everything!
    Level 1

Remove all the bits and bobs that don't belong here - are you expecting guests and do you have adequate seating?
Rehoming - find a convenient spot and gather up all the new and existing items that need a home. Spend 10 min sorting into piles according to which room they will go to. Maybe pop them in old carrier bags and enlist some help to "deliver" them to the right homes!
    Level 2
Dust and deweb all through downstairs
    Sweep or vac too
Tidy your tree or xmas decs - are all the chocs eaten? Can you dust around / under?
    Level 3
Wipe down all the kitchen counters and the sink

    Extras
    • Sort your laundry...
    • Start the ironing! Sort it into 4 piles and do the first one!
    • Treat yourself to something light and healthy for lunch - do you have time for HM soup?

    Tuesday - New Year's Day

Just some bits and pieces for those in the mood, if not have the day off ready to start tomorrow. Remember to spend sometime with family/friends if you like that sort of thing.

Do a bit of light pottering, making notes of any little diy jobs for your Toots list
Declutter a drawer or shelf, or encourage someone else to...
Head out for a walk if the weather is suitable, or even just a wander round the garden - any gaps to fill this year?
Decide on a few healthy meals to introduce to the menu
Put those calenders up for the year.
Update calendar/diary with all those important dates

No laundry - don't wash away any good luck!

Make just one resolution - you can't change everything all at once! Or resolve not to make any ;)

Write a list of 5 things you do that make you happy and 5 that make you sad. Ponder on how to do more of the first list and less of the latter.

Wednesday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level 1

Sort all the washing up / empty the DW? Am I the only one who constantly has something on my drainer?
    Wipe down your large appliances
    Level 2
DR - wipe over the table - are you finished with Christmas linen?
Any other surfaces to clear / wipe?
    Wash a window
    Level 3
Back to the kitchen - pick a cupboard- empty it and wipe the shelves. Only put back what you need. Can anything be ditched?

    Extras
    • Any laundry dried today? Put away what doesn't need ironing and sort the rest on to your piles left from yesterday

I've just spent far too long catching up on posts. I'm amazed at the number of people saying they think they post drivel; I think most of us like our view into other's lives even if only so we know we're not alone in our family struggles and strife!

So been and seen to one horse; it's cold out there so I'm leaving it a bit before I go and see the others. If it warms up I'll take a couple of dogs and kill 2 birds with one stone.

The list looks great today so I'll pop it here and mark off as I go. Hoping to get lots done because tomorrow is grandson's birthday so he will be over in the afternoon and I have to visit relative in the morning. Friday we are catching up with friends before DD2 goes back to school Monday.
