  • Morning all x

I've had a lie in today as I go back to my real job tomorrow what a shock to the system that's going to be!
DD is getting ready to go into the toon , I've decided there is too much I need to do here before I go back to work and I'm working tonight too plus. I'll only spend money on rubbish. So she's going with her dad and taking her pal with her.

    WM is on again!

I have bathrooms of luscious cleanliness. Mind you if you look at the time you might start to guess how needed it all was :o

Floors in there, hall and kitchen also swept and mopped. Judging by the colour of the water after the kitchen, I might have to do it again tomorrow. No promises!

Still pondering dinner, but now I’ve cut myself off from the fridge and freezer with a wet floor , so I will have to keep pondering.
    Now to the dec removal...
  • Hi

On my 3rd load of washing, 1x winterdyke full, TD on and other winterdyke up ready for when the next load finishes.
Kitchen - dishes done, floor swept, Bunkers cleaned, various gibble decluttered.
LR - tidied and carpet hoovered.
Bathroom - 2 toilet roll tubes binned
    Hall - hoovered
My room - bed striped and remade.

Just sitting with a cup of tea now watching Luther. Will make the sweet and sour for the dinner shortly.

A belated Happy New Year, Flyladies - I am so sorry, I'm one who has been deficient in the posting department of late.

In my defence, I have been too poorly to string a coherent sentence together, and you really, really didn't want to read gibberish, I'm certain!

Anyways, I will try to do better; but I still need to Fly first and post after if I have the energy for the time being.

Whippets go home tomorrow, so vacuuming is scheduled for after they've been picked up. Thet did very well on NYE - Peggy, particularly, is scared of fireworks (Sunny seemed oblivious to the pops and bangs) but she had her Thundershirt on, and I played with both dogs and distracted them with little slices of carrot, so all was well.

Dizzy re the dog-boarding business, how are you faring with the new regulations that have come in? Or were you set up with those in mind?
Some of the requirements do seem daft – a double barrier at the exit to the garden?? Why?? If the gate is padlocked, the dogs can't get out, simples! I have had a dog who could open the back door himself, but never yet met one who could undo a padlock!:D

    Anyways, onwards and upwards.....
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

LameWolf, I like to read a bit of gibberish :)
  • Two loads of laundry on radiators and heated airer, visited Aldi to stock up on their kindling (£1.99 a bag), took the kiddies to the park for an hour.

The fridge has been organised and wiped out, and some more junk out of the garage is in the black bin. Recycling finally being collected this Friday, hurrah!

    Have lovely evenings all x

I very rarely do a wash above forty degrees, and use the timesaver option on my washes.
My wash was only 40 but not time saver as it had OH muddy jeans in. I do often do an economy wash (30 mins) for items that need a freshen up more than a clean. Been so busy not put more in. :(

Off to do the horses again; I wanted to set the robot VC off in the family room but DD1 is in there and will go mad if I put it on. As it's the only room that's warm it's not fair to turf her out. Hopefully she'll wander off when the heating comes on about 5pm. Keep flying ladies.:A

I got all the washing in but it was no drier than when I put it out. Smells nice though. I've draped it round the radiators and it's drying now. Got to keep shifting it as it dries to get it all on.

Recycling put out ready for tomorrow morning, including the dead vacuum. They may not take it because it's only supposed to be small electricals but if they don't I won't be any worse off so it's worth a try and it can just go in the shed until we can get to the tip otherwise. DH loathes and despises the tip so it takes some persuading to get there.

Been to work and cleaned the door I decorated at half term, and on which I liberally used double sided sticky tape. As I had the brilliant idea of trying my steam cleaner on it I took the handheld part with me, complete with attachments. And old bits of towel and WD40.

Well pleased with the result, looks like a classroom door again. Feels a bit sticky but the steam and plastic scraper worked well without doing damage. Finished the glass off with WD 40.

Also downloaded some resources for next week and had the brainwave of checking that the laptops were all plugged in and charged. They weren't, so snotty text will be sent to boss again as two were completely dead. I need them ALL for Monday pm. I also switched on the heating and it occurred to me to check that the heaters in the classrooms were switched on. They'll be grateful on Monday! Colleague came in and reminded me to switch heating back to holiday mode. I'm one of those people who likes to know how things work - and I've now learned how to switch the heating on at the weekend as well as overriding the holiday setting when school is closed.
Took decs down in the classroom and vacuumed the mess I made. Also found xmas gift from colleague.

Popped into Mr A on way home. DD will now have a half price box of chocs for her birthday, as well as the half price fragrance...she gets good birthday gifts if I am diligent in the sales - but I doubt I'll ever surpass the Duplo farm which I bought when she was a tot and which she absolutely loved. We still have it.

Washing dry enough to iron and then air on the maiden, so I'm glad (see location lol).

    It's cold out there though!

Just having a coffee (no milk at work) then I will sort laundry.
