Thanks Dizzy. Your thundershirt made a big difference to the quality of Kelpie's life, so I'm forever grateful to you.
Seven hours at the foodbank, and we're all up to date there after the pre-Christmas rush. That's a load off my mind.
Five hours sorting out my in tray. I've got a lot of catching up to do, but at least it has some semblance of order now.
Sleeping arrangements discussed for Sunday and Monday night. It's going to be complicated with OH's birthday at the same time as we have three extra people in the house. I've got absolutely no idea what he wants to do this year, we normally make the arrangements between Christmas and New Year and it got forgotten in all the sadness. (Kelpie liked snacking on the contents of the cat(s) litter tray. I could always tell if I hadn't been quick enough by the sawdust around this muzzle.)

Yesterday I did shredding, and that's it so I'm up early and taking the decs down before the paid stuff.
Have a great day everyone xSpend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning all,
Everyone sounds sooo productive. Festive decs from the lr got piled on the dr table last night so I'm going to get up shortlymand sort that out.
A very late working woodworm surveyor got in touch with me last night and is going to ring this morning with a time to visit, so need to clear the top of the cellar steps as best as possible.
Need to cleaner proof the house - she's coming about 11
Hubby managed to fix the bathroom radiator last night so that's one less job for today.
My aim is to get up at 6, so 10 mins more in my cosy warm bed.
Have a flying day everyone.

Gah! Been up since 3.30am with a dog with the trots...not one of mine either
It was novel - mopping my kitchen floor, naked except for slippers, by the subtle glow of my plinth lights. Never done that before.
No sleep since and of course it's now time to get up....grrr...0 -

Thank you for giving me a giggle (sorry, I can imagine it was not remotely amusing clearing up that, let alone at 3.30am:eek:) I too have been awake since the early hours, exhausted really yet my grumpy old bod is giving me jip (in the form of swollen & on fire sinuses..) Dosed up on pain relief and nursing a cup of honey n lemon, salt water has been garbled.. ?!? That should be gargled! :rotfl:
Worked yesterday, shall play catch up as best as this morning, though any form of bending/leaning forward results in a few swears as it feels like my left eye might just pop out:eek:
I hope you have on more than slippers now Dizzy, it's bloomin freezing!"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇🥇0 -
Wow Dizzy...
*giggles*
Wash load just gone on. Can *almost* see the bottom of the basket but two beds need stripping and remaking. Planning on pegging out again today; air is so dry that the washing is drying despite the cold.
Need to go to town later and must check holiday list for tasks.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all,
Oh no Dizzy! Hope you get a nap in later.

Morning all!
Yesterday turned into another supermarathon. I finished sewing up the wise men at 1.00 am and was up again at 6.30 to take DH to his Blue badge assessment (he's been given one) the morning was a rush of preparation for the toddler group, and the afternoon was spent running it and making a home visit. i spent most of the evening dozing off in front of the TV.
This morning I have
- S&S'd the kitchen
- tidied the LR
- FUPA clean washing
- dealt with a banking problem
- untangled recyclable Christmas string and put it away in the Christmas cards box, ready for next year
I still need to clear up all the mess of books and papers in my study!
Our lights and tree will remain up until Twelfth Night, so I shall be doing a deep clean next week. I've only got a bit of holly this year (gleaned from the woods while Rosie was chasing squirrels) so it won't take long to dispose of that. I must remember to fetch the bowls of spring bulbs out of their dark bunker into the utility, ready to put out in the LR and DR on Monday morning after I've de-decorated and cleaned those rooms.
It's very cold and crisp here, but we have beautiful sunshine atm, so I will take Rosie for her walk before DH takes me out for lunch at our local GC
Dizzy, all I can say is "TMI"!!!!
Hope everyone has a good day. (((Hugs))) spoons and sticks to those in need x0 -
Well, I'm already nearly dead on my feet, but still got lots to do.
I have sorted and fed all animals, feathered and furred, collected eggs, defrosted their water holders, fed and dressed the children (not so furry, as I took them for a haircut yesterday) put a wash on and a load in the tumble drier. Also answered another eleventy billion dog boarding messages and queries, arranged some meets with several potential customers, oh, and made the bed :A
My remaining list for today includes paying in a cheque, a quick food shop, roast some pumpkin seeds, clear the loft space above the wet room and fling rubbish and make some flapjacks (using yet another recipe, in the hope that I may produce something less "brick" like and kinder on the teeth... Dunno what I'm doing wrong
Christmas cards have been taken down and will be made into tags for next year at some point but the tree can wait, especially as Miss Fluffball chewed through one set of the lights (luckily off at the time) so I'll have to carefully remove these ones - oh, and she's gnawed the smart TV remote this morning, so is in disgrace.
Happy days :rotfl:0 -
I think my equilibrium really must be disturbed. Despite being on a list where one particularly persistent religious group is banned from cold-calling someone rang the doorbell this morning yet again. Even I was surprised by my language.
I think OH is due back from London today. Must do some tidying up and putting away.Better is good enough.0
