I was going to say morning but it's not really although if I haven't had dinner yet then it's still morning to me. Cottage pie in the oven though which will be ready in half an hour from now.

Washing out on the line and as it's sunny today I hope it might dry a bit even though it's also very cold.

My dead vacuum was taken away with the recycling so I was very pleased about that - I won't have to beg and plead with DH to go to the tip.

I also cleaned the bathroom and toilet first thing today which is a job I hate even though it only takes about 10 minutes.
  • Actually had some sleep overnight and, although I got up ridiculously late, I feel much happier today - there actually being some sunshine helps.

Going to have something to eat and then see if I CBA/have the energy to leave the house for some shopping - mostly vegetables, I think. If not, there are some sad looking parsnips that need to be turned into soup.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Bathroom and shower room polished, shower plughole cleared. :shudder: Vacuumming the worst areas at the moment.

OH has returned and told me what he wants to do for his birthday, so that's helpful. I also realised that he would never look at the photographs of Devil Cat if I put them in a mini-album as planned but we have oceans of space on the fridge and freezer, which is crying out for fridge magnets but we rarely find ones we actually like. Very luckily I tracked down and bought some craft magnets a few weeks ago so I can give him the photographs and magnets for him/us to make them together. I might get some photographs of the Honey Bear and and Kelpie printed off as well, to do the same. It is very hard knowing what to give a 72 year old when we have all the stuff we could ever want or need already.
    Better is good enough.

Totally get where you are HB with religious groups at the door; if I answer the door to someone I don't need to speak to I'm afraid they get short shrift from me.

Well today didn't pan out as planned. Friend didn't arrive so it meant I spent a fair amount of time getting rid of cobwebs from the beams in the family room and generally doing the jobs I hate and never do.

I visited sick relative in the afternoon and will be spilling the blood of his carers if they don't start doing their jobs soon. Need to call tomorrow and check the GP has been. If he hasn't I may well need a GP appointment for myself as my blood pressure will be sky high!

    Hi all

Tired, strange week, not helped by taking DS1 to job centre 15 miles away twice but I think he might successful in claiming Universal Credit so its worth it.

Dont like cold callers at the door on or phone, feels like an invasion of my privacy. Luckily living in the middle of nowhere helps!

Feet up, laptop off now, chilling in front of fire with my book and a glass of wine.

HB.. good.. serves them right.. I hate door knockers.. I get some people it is their job but I still hate it.. except the postie.. he brings me presents!

Still at the outlaws.. you do NOT want me to start ranting.. on a plus note his sister appears much improved after her stay on the psyche ward I'm hoping her improved behaviour continues tomorrow when we are supposed to be out in public for dinner with extended family.

I want to go home.. we are here until Sunday.. I miss my chair.. and my idiot cats and I am most anxious about the boys having 'handbags at dawn' because they were gearing up for a squabble the last week..

  • Can't remember where I'm up to, but the washing basket has exploded, so that's on my list for today.
I need to start prepping the house for its woodworm treatment clearing. Fortunately under our bed is clear so hopefully I can stash most of the China from the dining room cabinet under there. Urgh the stress it's causing me already. It's the unknown quantity of when it's being done that's stressing me out.

    Morning all

Bedding to go on line later but first I have to put up a new line as it snapped yesterday. Fortunately only one half came down. Still need to clear the lawn too. The section hitch fell was the section over the path. Phew!

    But first coffee and book.
