All very suspicious IMHO.
The UK has tough money laundering laws, in fact banking staff can go to prison for not reporting activity that may be criminal. The bank have acted within the law and quite properly.
Personally I find your story a bit unbelievable. However if true you have been incredibly stupid on so many levels it worries me that you are considering taking a degree in law.0 -
Studying Law? Solicitors are regulated by the SRA, they don't allow people on the roll if they have so much as a CCJ or have any sort of criminal conviction unless there's some serious extenuating circumstances. You've had some good advice on here, it would be wise to take it up. It would also be a good idea to get in touch with the SRA. The last thing you need is to have spent 3/4 years at Uni to find out you won't be allowed to qualify after.0

I suspect the only true parts to this tale are that fraudulent money was transferred to your accounts and you said it was yours. Once you got caught and realised the implications this bs story was concocted.0

Indeed I pressed yes the money was mine but soon realised I made a mistake I decided to report it but I was too late. The bank even told me that they tried taking money out and failed 5 times and only managed to transfer £500 through online banking. I even lost my £100 of my bursary money as it got mixed with the fraudulent money. At the time the bank insisted that I should apply for another bank so idk why they would puta cifas marker.0

Your actions are not those of someone who is innocent, regardless of how much you claim to have just made an innocent mistake."Facism arrives as your friend. How did they verify the new payee details on your internet banking?
I assume by answering the text you hadn't lost your mobile phone too.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. Surely this would mean they would receive the text message about the suspicious funds.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. Of course they did, and you didn't get the text saying the number had changed.0 -

So, yeah, the OP should have got some confirmation of changes, if they're telling the truth.0
