Cifas need help 😢

Options
Guys I really need some advice on what I shall do.

I lost my card holder which had my card and my details on it and at the time I didn't realise I lost it because I had a level mock exams and I rarely use my card because the only pqurpose was to collect my school bursary. So during school time I get a text from llyods that 3k has entered my account and type yes if it is yours. At the time I was stupid and texted yes because I was excited and baffled on why would someone send me money.
Later that day I told my dad and he told me that it is !!!!!!!! but insisted that I should let my mock exams finish and then and go to llyods local branch and tell them you don't know where this money came from.
Then when the time came I couldn't log onto my online banking so I went to the branch and they said it's been shut down and a letter will be sent explaining the situation I was baffled and confused. After that, I called llyods after the letter arrived and they said someone did fraud on your account and tried to take the money out. I didn't know what to say because I didn't know but they think I gave them my pin and online banking which I didn't. Regardless they told me to apply for another bank and the £110 already had on my card from school bursary cannot be funded back to be because all the money on my card is under investigation.
Sooooo I applied for Santander, one week after my card had arrived I receive a letter that my Santander account has been shut down because I have a cifas marker and I was like bro u got to be kidding me so I did my research about cifas and it freaked me out because if I can't apply for any big banks then how am I going to get student finance/maintenance when I go uni.

What shall do now?😢😫

Your account has been suspended as they suspect you of being a money mule, an accessory to money laundering.

Not much you can do. Protest your innocence. They might take pity on you. They probably won't. Lying that the money was yours is going to be an incredibly costly mistake, and you are going to have to deal with the consequences.

  • You replied to the text saying yes.
You agreed the money was yours.

Now you need to face the consequences.

It’s funny how these posts always come late at night by “students” who knew nothing about what they were doing, usually all written in unreadable paragraphs of text with no breaks in between.
  • So because of one stupid mistake I deserve the consequences that's a bit harsh and yes I am a ’student’ why are you trying to convey I am something else?

I'm not passing comment on whether you 'deserve' the consequences or not.

The real world doesn't always have second chances. You will have to deal with a very, very expensive lesson.

  • Thanks for your advise I will send a SAR request and see what they have against me and whether disputing it can be possible. It's just that they are probably going to assume that I needed the money which I don't so I don't know how to challenge this but thanks I appreciate it 👍🏻

You can throw yourself at your mercy, saying you just made an idiotic mistake. It probably won't achieve anything, but you can but try.

What's the issue re: the PIN / online banking?

  • Your 100% correct but all I care about is going uni and getting the grades, I just don't want this to be the reason I can't go uni and study law.
Thanks for the response and sorry for jumping at you like it's just this whole situation has got me depressed.
  • Sorry can you repeat the last sentence

You said that someone had tried to take money out. How were they able to do this with no PIN?

  • Oh ok the bank told that the fraud person tried to take money out but failed however managed to transfer a bit of the money through online banking and this was because in my card holder It included my bank card and others like school and bus, the pin and online banking details And various other details I always forget important information so I like to write it down but look how that turned out now
