New Year, new diet . I'll stick to 1500kcal per day. According counting on one slimming website, that's my limit I have to eat to function normally.0

Another regular reader here who would like to join you.
I have gel polish on my nails, HD brows and my hair cut regularly. This year, I intend to improve on various things.
We got a new puppy in December and now her vaccinations have kicked in, we can take her out so intend to up my step count considerably over the next few months. I have missed my walks since we lost our old boy and it certainly has contributed to my loss of tone and gain of weight.
My intentions are :-
To use the pup for exercise.
Lose the 10lbs I've gained (I'm a target SW member who is just out of range and the 10 will get me back to the bottom of range)
Put my "face" on every morning.
Wear clothes every day that make me feel nice rather than just covered up.
Declutter my house - it's not a hoarders hovel, just looks lived in and I think I will really benefit from that.
So, off in shower then I can start as I mean to go on.
Happy, fabby new year!0 -
Happy New Year all. Let’s try and make it a good one no matter what life throws at us.
I was in bed last night early, didn’t want to have any alcohol in case I got upset also didn’t fancy today with a hangover.
So up early today, just making some eggs and toast for breakfast. Heading to the gym midday, then back to clean up. Going to have a bath later and do another face mask. As I’d no alcohol last night , going to watch more vanity fair later and have a few glasses of something. Sounds like as good a New Years Day as any to me.
May I add whilst I’m being sensible and in bed early my parents who are in their mid 70s are in a hotel partying and staying over lol.0 -
Forgot to say got my water intake in yesterday and will do the same today0

:j:j:j. HAPPY NEW YEAR :dance::dance::dance:
Hope you all had a lovely evening.....however you decided to spend it.
I went to a family party, it was lovely, nice nibbles, a few bubbles, a silly game, a mixture of English and Spanish traditions, and lots of cuddles with my gorgeous grandson. He's just coming up to 6 months now and is actually starting to be rather fun.
Everyone comments that they have noticed that my grandson seems absolutely fascinated by me - I think it must be my white hair. Lol. Everyone else in the family still has dark hair. Although my youngest son is starting to look "distinguished" - very George Clooney.:rotfl:
Anyway we all had a lovely time. I can truthfully say that for the first time since my husband died I didn't shed any New Year's Eve tears. A big leap forward.
All Things Must Pass......even grief and sorrow comes to an end eventually. I have to say I am looking forward to 2019 with such hope and optimism.
I just have a feeling.........that something good is going to happen. (There's a fabulous Kate Bush song with that lyric.....must try and find it and play it today. I love her)
Anyhoo.......are we ready to begin.
Let's get started......I promise to ease you in gently to today. Nothing too taxing today.
For the Newbies........and as a reminder to everyone else.
Step 1 Wear Perfume - every day.
That's it, nice and simple. It's easy, it's painless. But the ramications go far beyond the obvious of smelling nice. You will find out.;)
Not sure how or why it works but the fact is if you want to be a Goddess then you have to smell divine. What could be more lovely then wafting around smelling gorgeous and leaving your own signature smell in your wake.
Frugal Tip.......if you have a Perfume that is too strong or that you don't feel is quite right for you, try diluting it before you dispose of it. You can add some to either a carrier oil such as grape seed oil (no smell and as cheap as chips) to make a luxurious body oil. If you don't like oils then use a plain lotion such as E45 - again it has no smell and is dirt cheap.
Hey presto a luxurious body moisturiser for pennies.
Now time for my word this year.
PANACHE.
I am by no means wealthy but hopefully I can still be chic and stylish and live with grace and a little luxury, all it takes is a bit of work, a dash of imagination and a bit of flair.
Ladies, I wish you the best of everything this year. May all your dreams, hopes and wishes come true.0 -
Happy New Year from me as well:beer:0

Happy new year Blwyddyn Newydd Dda typed with my still elegant shiny greens blue nails.
I'm going to wear make up every day, too, and set it with translucent powder so that it lasts.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

Hello
I stumbled across your 2018 thread and have been waiting for this to arrive so that I could join.
I have also been guilty of not making myself a priority and not realising how important it is to make the best of what I have (in all areas) and how much of a difference that makes to me
This year is a year of 'adding' things to my life.
Things that will add joy, add love, add care.
Most new years have found me trying to put together a plan of change that is really just me punishing myself for what I am not and I refuse to do that this year.0 -
I forgot to mention a good brand of skincare is Tropic. I know someone who raves about it. I keep meaning to try it, I wonder if they have a sale on.
I'm using the B night serum during the day at the moment. It's good.Someone mentioned hair thinning, my daughter uses Main and Tail, which yes is a product for horses but really does work. She gets it from Amazon.
I'm sure I read that Clarins flash balm was originally designed for the hooves of horses, something like that.:)0
