32b3in2013 welcome to the thread and sorry about your loss.

Like you. I work in Central London and can work from home one day a week. I also have a handbag ‘thing’. Like you, I always saved things for best, but that day never came. A few years ago, I was having a clear out of toiletries and had th throw away a lot of expensive products that had stated to smell funny. So, now, I use my nice products regularly.

Your trip to NY will be amazing. I have always wanted to go (I’ll get there one day!).

Thank you chanie. We could almost be the same person!

I feel so much better today knowing I am not commuting tomorrow. It’s the small things that make a difference.

Ive began decluttering clothes in the bedroom , We have a lovely built in cupboard one side of the chimney breast in there , Its not very deep , but ideal for storing books / sewing machine etc , My intention is to empy it and use the shelves for Dh's Jeans and t. shirts . Tonight ive been sorting and shredding old coursework paperwork that was in there , Im never going to need it again , so its gone . and is anyone else like me ,i get a sense of saisfaction if my recycle bin is full when its bin day , shows ive had a good sort ( And clear out ) I took a few things to the Chazza so hopefully someone else can make use of them , Ive still got a long way to go before this old house is how i want it , but its not a race, and i do what i can when i can ,,,,,,,,,,,Onward and upwards x

I suppose my aims for this year are
    1) Lose some weight
    2) Look after my wellbeing
    3) start saving
    and
    4) clear the clutter.

Is it OK if I join in?

  • Welcome 32b3in2013 :D

On Saturday I went to a party that a family member was hosting. I was able to wear a fixed waist brown silk mix ruffle skirt that I had not been able to wear for ages. I teamed it with a brown cotton v neck sleeveless ruffle top and a brown lightweight M & S Jacket with hook and eye fastening. I wore a pair of my black patent Van Dal slingbacks and was carrying a brown Osprey leather handbag. I wore large solid gold hoop earrings, my 18ct chain with a 3D 18ct gold crucifix, a QVC gold and single stone diamonique ring and my 18ct gold bracelet. I wore my black M & S wool coat with black velvet collar and cuffs. :)

After a lovely long, pampering bath, I layered my perfume with the matching body lotion and body powder. I wore brown shimmering eye shadow, black mascara, clear nail polish and clear lip gloss.:)

A man at the party came up to me twice to tell me that I was the best dancer at the party and I smiled at him and said 'thank you'. It was a lovely compliment to receive.

I had a good weekend with my sister R. We talked to each other a lot. ;)

My younger son and daughter came to the party with my sister R and I and we all had a good time and had good Caribbean food to eat. There was an over abundance of food, so I was able to bring home some cooked chicken and fried fish. :D There was plenty of alcohol and soft drinks including bottle water. While all around me were drinking spirits I was drinking bottled water, my favourite tipple. :D

On Sunday I went to Karaoke and I sang 2 songs because I was feeling a bit tired after the party the night before. :) I had a good time despite the fact that I was feeling tired. :D
  • I've decided to go swimming tonight. We have had a family crisis this week and if I don't go out I may end up crying into some vodka like I did last night.

    Evening

That sounds like a perfect weekend sugarbaby125. Your outfit sound perfect.

Sorry to hear that you had a family crisis eandjsmum. I hope things improve for you and your family. Good idea to go out for a while.

I am currently sat at WW. I’ve been weighed in and I lost 7lbs :D. Today I have been working from home and during lunchtime I opened a rituals set I got for Christmas. I am not that keen on the fragrance, so I will see if my mum or sister want it and if not I’ll take it to the charity shop when I start my clearout. All in all, not a bad day. I am travelling for work tomorrow but have planned my food and will not fall of plan.

Thank you all again for the welcomes.

    Hi all *waves*

I used to be on this thread a loooong time ago so am hoping to hop back on the fabbing wagon. I have a few big things on this year so would love to feel more confident about myself doing them.

Weight loss is prob the big one. Started new diet/exercise plan and had my one week weigh-in today - lost 4.5lbs! Am really happy with that but know I'm also terrible for starting off well and then slipping so need to keep the motivation going.

Would also love to get the house sorted out, is overflowing with clutter and the books/clothes in particular need a huge clear-out. (Anyone else been watching Marie Kondo on Netflix, I need to get some joy sparking lol!).

Anyway, fingers crossed this can be my year!

What a wise decision to give yourself time to yourself and go swimming. I hope it gave you some respite from your family crisis
