LW. Silks, satins, lace, fine linens and delicate cottons........:rotfl:

Wafting around in a sea of floaty gorgeousness. Lovely.

Do you watch Cold Feet. I love the way Karen (played by Hermoine Norris) dresses. Sexy, elegant and sophisticated but with a rockchick vibe.

She will pair a silk dress with a denim jacket or leather biker jacket and she will look fantastic.

Just mix it up and go for it.

BTW. Sainsbury's have their 25% clothing offer on at the moment.

Lots of colour. I noticed some fab suede ankle boots and bags in colours like purple or mustard.

I might have to treat myself......;)

Just had an email from the lovely staff at college, they have given me an extra appointment for a micro current facial ! I believe that's commonly known as non surgical facelift. Woo-Hoo.
oh I hope I still get served in the pub ;)

Excellent....non surgical face lifts really work. Great that you are getting them at college prices.

    Hi all,

Thanks so much for the welcome x

Hope anyone with plans for today has a lovely time. I must admit I'm a bit of a Valentine's Day grinch, even when I was in a relationship I never really bothered much with it - I must be hopelessly unromantic :rotfl:

    seven-day-weekend - a tortoise sounds adorable!!

LuxuryWoman - I like a bit of a rock chick/alternative vibe clothewise so I tend to go for cute skirts over leggings. Still nice and toasty in winter but can add a bit of colour with cats/skulls/roses patterns and things. I must admit that living in Scotland I'm not familar with heatwaves but maybe floaty skirts/dresses with a denim jacket or something on top to edge it up a bit?

Have been feeling a bit under the weather this week so have skipped my usual Pilates class tonight - am trying not to feel guilty about it! Will try and do some exercise at home over the weekend when I've hopefully come round a bit. Still managed to stick with the healthy eating though, which is good for me as usually at the first sign of stress I fall off the wagon :o Am trying to focus on the positives!
  • This week has been like living someone else's life; taking on responsibilities that i don't normally have. The family responsibilities that make you walk a mile or two in their life. I am shattered and wreaked. I have restarted all the vitamins and going to eat better- generally one meal in the day lets me down.

I have a lot of pre-ironed clothes and it makes it so much easier, I am just layering on the makeup and putting the best face forward. I find if I have a good selection of pre-ironed clothes I tend to wear more structured clothes. Prep work is vital for everyone!

    Morning ladies!
I've started doing the 5 minute kitchen exercises - Ive lost muscle tone after having a virus last year that left me quite exhausted for most of the year. All seemed to be good now though. I did use to go the gym with a friend so we could take turns driving but she can no longer go so I'm going to be disciplined and do a daily session at home.
Luxurywoman - a nice denim jacket works very well with summer clothes - I've got a lovely soft light blue one and a biker style one - much nicer than a cardigan!
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

    Good afternoon lovely ladies....

It's glorious here....I'm sat outside with my tapas style lunch, just soaking up the warm sunshine. I love it:D

This Morning I have begun day 1 of the great wardrobe clearout. Already have one large bin liner full. I am delighted to report that most of the clothes I'm parting with are now TOO BIG.:j:j. Wahoo.

I went through a spare suitcase that houses some of my next size down and the great news is some of it now fits and some will fit very soon....... shopping from my wardrobe...:rotfl:

Going to have a break now and make the most of the sunshine. I will continue the bedroom declutter to tomorrow.

Silva....definitely agree with you, fabbing is all about getting organised.....nic e healthy food at the ready, clothes nicely laundered and ready to go.

As I sift through the wardrobe I shall be refreshing as I go, washing and ironing where necessary, any minor repairs, alterations, etc so that everything is ready to be worn at a moments notice.

    Enjoy your day ladies...
  • I got complemented on my nail polish at work today. Its violet metalic today:rotfl::rotfl:
Also lost 3lbs this week. :T
Tried on two swimsuits that I put away as too small they fit and are pretty glam to boot so I will wear them next week. The weather here has been glorious today but have been stuck at work.
New summer dress material arrived this week it is floaty and has a large pattern

Not sure how I will manage that. At least you will see me coming :rotfl:
Have a great weekend keep fabbing
  • Glad to hear everyone seems to be getting on well.

Have started temping this week, it's nice to be getting out and about and being less bored means I'll eat less!

Had a ridiculous melt down this morning about hating all my clothes, having nothing to wear, etc etc.
What I really mean is, I've been sat on my backside for 2 months so its all a bit tight, and I'm fed up of winter clothes!
Got over myself eventually, but was messing about for a lot longer than necessary :rotfl:
