Frump to Fab 2019 - Here We Go Again

had my third galvanic facial today, I dont know the difference between this and micro current, and to be honest, dont care. My skin is plumped and lines, especially around my mouth and chin are softened. I'm having a full body massage tomorrow then lunch, in a favourite Indian restaurant using an Itison voucher. Its £5 for each treatment I get in college and £14 for lunch for two, I'm happy.
The only time I reach 10k steps is days I go to college and as its all uphill (and I mean hill) I think I should get special gradient points. So if I'm going 3 times this week I should be getting my muscles working again. Tighten those buns and thighs but know I will never get back to my youthful figure .
Keep working fabbers.:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o
Well except mastered my mortgage 5 yrs early :T:j

teedy, I've always wondered about gradient points, living on a hill!
I think we deserve at least a third in credit.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

Teedy - you've inspired me to look at my local college's rates at their salon. A full body massage costs £20! I'm in!!! They also do other treatments so I'll have a look when I go there. The 5 minute kitchen workouts are paying off - easy to do just a couple while waiting for the kettle to boil or keeping an eye on the grill
Keep fabbing ladies!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
The nearest college to us does good rates, too. Only problem is the time they take.
Parking is a problem, too.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

Good morning lovely ladies
Well I've had a nice couple of days. Massage on Monday, Chiropodist yesterday.
I have been walking a bit, averaging 4K to 5k steps. Hopefully now my feet have been done I can build up a bit more. I am going to be fitted for shoe supports next week, to help support my weak ankles. Hopefully they will help reduce knee and back pain and help improve my posture.
I am another one who tries to fit in a few kitchen exercises, although at the moment I am also concentrating on my posture.
I am practising "power poses" whilst saying positive affirmations. Yeah, I know more hippy dippy bs (as my DS2 would charmingly put it).:rotfl: But you know what - this stuff works.
Power poses not only improve posture they also reduce the stress hormone cortisol and increase levels of testosterone. Rebalancing cortisol and testosterone helps reduce stress and build confidence.
The easiest power pose is called the "Wonder Woman". Stand straight, eyes ahead, chin slightly lifted, legs slightly apart, hands on hips. WW costume is optional. :rotfl:
Hold the pose for 2 minutes. You don't need to say positive affirmations but I choose to add them anyway. Double power to my elbow!!!
Visited a couple of my favourite charity shops and Had a little spend yesterday, a dark blue tweed herringbone reefer style jacket £3 (I think you call them pea coats - worn with jeans or trousers as per Jackie O). I had a navy one back in the 60s and loved it.
Who says you can't revisit your favourite old fashions......They are a great look with white jeans. Very nautical - perfect for trips on your private yacht......ok........coffee at the local marina. :rotfl: where you sit and look at the fancy boats and play make believe. Sunglasses mandatory......for that "jet set look" Lol. And to protect your eyes from the sun glinting off the water.....Of Course. Ha ha.
After our chat about denim jackets, I spotted one for £3 - perfect fit, ready to go for the Rock Chick look this summer...... maybe I should start going to festivals again......
Two cream tops, one 3/4 sleeves, one sleeveless. £2 each. So just £10 the lot. All in great condition, wool jacket looks practically unworn. So sticking to my Scandi style colour palette of blues, greys, whites and creams. Hopefully building up a good selection of mix and match items for a comprehensive summer wardrobe.
BTW. Looks like we are in for a nice weekend, weather wise. I have been invited for a posh afternoon tea at a swanky hotel. Should be fun.
Off to see Green Books tonight.
Have a great day, y'all.0 -
I'm off to the concert tonight. I'm wearing my short red and black dress, black cardigan and leggings and I'm going to paint my nails red too.
I'm going to give myself a hair treatment in a minute and have a hot shower and put on makeup and perfume.
I'm really looking forward to a night out. The last time I went to a concert was in 2012!:eek:0 -

Thinking about it I did go to a classical concert in 2017. The last band I saw before that was Marilyn Manson in 2012.:D2025 GOALS
