Thinking about it I did go to a classical concert in 2017. The last band I saw before that was Marilyn Manson in 2012.:D

The last gig I went to was Bob Dylan, at Blackpool a few years ago:D

  • I don’t think I’ve been to a concert in ten years, it was Hyde Park, Morrissey was headlining and I had far too much wine in my excitement at being out (had toddler child) we had VIP tickets so nice loos and private bar. I remember little of the day

I am pleased to see lots of khaki around for spring/summer as it suits me and is easy to look casual cool I think.

Just 3 more weeks until I get my new smile, I am sooooo excited. Don’t care there will be a bit of pain and discomfort I will not be ashamed to laugh and talk, woohoo

Good morning fabbers, I'm glad I was able to inspire a couple of you to look at college prices for your fabbyness. Yes they do take longer, especially with hair but when you become a regular, I found, you get the girls who are doing Graded units and are fabulous. remember you are also contributing to the fabbers of the future by donating your body as a teaching tool lol.
I was back yesterday for an electrical body massage, in the end the girl didnt use the instrument she was supposed to use too much, as she felt this wasnt what I needed. I had a fabulous full body, quite firm massage. I didnt know I was so achey until I wasnt, if that makes sense. I will cut down my visits now as I tend to get greedy and take too much time when I should be doing other things.
Luxury woman : well done with the smile, no pain no gain.
To all the fabbers doing the 5 minute kitchen thing, I will try to join you. I dont drink nearly enough water but love my tea, so I have been making myself drink a glass whenever I put the kettle on. I' quite sure I could fit a couple of exercises in too, talk about multi tasking !

 Hello All. Back from our 15 days in India. Wow! What an amazing place.:D

I'm sure I'll be dropping in various anecdotes from the holiday over the coming weeks. We visited the iconic sights of the Taj Mahal and Amritsar Golden Temple but so much else as well. Sightseeing was really full on and little time for shopping although I did replace my old black pashmina and bought some make up favourites at duty free.

As I have the laundry mountain to tackle, I haven't read back so hope everyone is doing well.:)

On the fab front: The clothes I took with me were mostly suitable although needed to do a bit of layering up when I was in the north at the beginning and end of the holiday. I have acquired a light tan and the sun has lightened my hair again so pleased with that. I was also delighted at how much energy I had for all the walking and long days.

I had a small amount of time for reading and reflection, mostly on flights. I read two books, both light novels and I'm on the third. After that I think I'll try something more challenging again to ring the changes. One new challenge is going to be to eat less meat. Because of various religions, there was loads of vegetarian food available which I enjoyed. It'll be quite mse:money:as well but I think it'll be healthier too.

    Back soon.:)
  • Have started to listen to Paul mckenna’s positivity podcasts. He interviews different people who are perceived to be successful in their own field to see what they think has helped them/ what advice they can pass on. Interesting and inspiring i think.

Thanks for that flo. Do you listen to podcasts at home or on the move? Do you use your phone/tablet/desktop? I've always been a big radio fan but, just lately, I'm finding it hard to find programmes I like so thought I might try podcasts.

I was intrigued that both Amritsar (town) and Delhi (airport) had branches of M&S! I just had to look to make a comparison. Unusually for me they had a few things I might buy for the summer:

One of the women n my trip was wearing the maxi dress and it looked good for day or evening wear.

I'm also going to start early looking for summer trousers now that new stock is coming in. I didn't wear them much last year as we had so much sun so what I've got are quite old and need replacing.
  • I had such a great time last night. :A

I am definitely going to arrange more nights out like that for this year. I feel like I have been almost a hermit the past few years when my husband was ill and then me being ill as well.

Ooh, I like that dress. I will buy that in the black. :)

It sounds like you had a great time, well done on trying to cut down on meat!:T

  • I'm in for this year after having recently gotten back from holiday with the other half!

I've come back the heaviest I've been in a few years but that has gradually built up obviously.

Our shopping lists now consist of fresh, healthier food and I'll be trying new recipes as often as I can rather than gorging on pizza and chips because they're quick and easy...

I'm either going to have to enlist OH to help with my hair colouring or find someone to come to my house and do it as I got my hair trimmed on holiday and she basically said where I accidentally overlap when lightening my roots, and then using dye to even it out, I'm giving myself a chemical cut each time  which explains why it never grows even though I get roots!

Also took OH shopping and said I always want to try new things but don't know what will suit and he picked out a few tailored pieces which looked really nice and that's the kind of look I want to branch out into so this weekend I'll be clearing out my wardrobe of anything baggy or "comforting"

    Happy to be on board!

Went mad and bought two fleeces, some leggings and some underwear. :)

Got rid of my old underwear which all looked as though I had borrowed it from Bridget Jones. The bras I had bought were slightly too small in the cup. My own fault, I should have had myself measured after losing the weight. I thought I would only need a DD cup but still could have done with an E, although I am two sizes smaller in the back. Still, they will do and when I lose some more weight they will fit. My old bras are slightly big but wearable.

I then went even madder and cleared my wardrobe out. I have never had many clothes and can get them all in one small wardrobe and a chest of drawers, (apart from outdoor coats), but it was getting quite full and I was finding it difficult to close the door. I ended up with one binbag for the Hospice shop and another one for the clothing bank :) I now have all my clothes, including shoes and handbags, easily in that wardrobe and my outdoor coats (including my old fleece which I will keep for gardening and cleaning the car), in another small wardrobe which also contains the steam mop and some feather dusters. Never let it be said that I am a hoarder :)

The one fleece is a lightweight one and it is bright yellow and fitted, it will be great for a summer evening.

I actually enjoyed the buying new and clearing out. I usually find buying clothes stressful, but I enjoyed it this time.

Also, our little sports car got its welding done, passed its MOT with flying colours and was back three days earlier than we thought it would be. The weather is supposed to be nice at the weekend, so we will be cruising with the top down, blowing the blues away.

Hope you all had a good day and have a lovely fabb-ing weekend.

This is the one fleece :
