I've decided to go swimming tonight. We have had a family crisis this week and if I don't go out I may end up crying into some vodka like I did last night.
((hugs)) Hope things get resolved soon xI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -
Good Morning lovely ladies.....
Just dropping by to let you know I'm still around but my shoulder is bad again so no typing.
Keeep fabbing......I'm still reading and watching. :rotfl:0 -
Hey fabbers,
It’s been a little no time since I’ve been around, my daughter has been extremely unwell but hopefully is recovering.
I think I’ve mentioned before that I have the grimmest ever teeth which no amount of makeup, good dressing etc could detract from. I’ve bitten the bullet and am halfway through some extensive and vvv expensive dentistry and I’m so excited and wish I’d done it long ago. This is the one thing that will really make the difference.
Once finished I’m going to get a really good cut and colour and possibly just a little diddle of Botox but I mean tiddly drops just to look fresher not plasticky.
I’m pretty overweight but not bothered tbh, my daughter has anorexia so right now I see food as the means to stay alive and I have to eat to encourage her. I am good at dressing for my generous shape though, and though I’d love to wake up two stone lighter I’d rather have my daughter alive and headed back to health.
I’m achey, tired but so far sailing through menopausal symptoms which I realise could get harsher but hopefully won’t. I reckon us 50+ women can still look pretty cool (even if we don’t feel cool, thank you hot flushes )
It’s been a helluva tough year, hope this one is better, at least I’ll be able to smile at people with confidence and smiles lead to good moods.
Oh, maybe TMI but my long dead libido has resurfaced, a last flush of hormones? Whatever I reckon a lover or two would give me back my youthful glow 0 -

Thank you, I think it will be worth every penny, my teeth were making me feel utterly miserable, real psychological problems tbh, they declined rapidly after previous bad dentistry, I’ve gone private and this fab dentist says he wants perfection, he says he’ll take my mouth back to when it looked best using photos so I’m very excited indeed.0 -
well ladies lots has happened to you all since I was last on. I have been reading but little time for posting. Nice to see its mostly good. I have been back to college for my second go of galvanic facials and dont see such a difference as I did the first time, maybe just getting used to being fab lol. I bought myself a couple of tops and trousers nice ones, so I have to wear them when going anywhere and I mean anywhere. I've been going out like a bag lady, dont know how that happened ! Had my hair done last week so thats sorted, no excuses.:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o
Well except mastered my mortgage 5 yrs early :T:j

LuxuaryWoman yes woman can be fab and 50 . I'm sorry to here about your daughter . Right now she is more important and you losing weight may not help her recovery . When she is much better then think about the weight loss .
Thanks for all the good wishes . Phones red hot right now ,both myself and sis are feeling that we should have seen the trouble coming but tbh little bro probably wouldn't taken advice anyway because he would have been too scared to loose contact with his offspring.
Anyway went swimming last night , came back showered and used lovely shower gel and matching body lotion. Also painted finger nails plum colour "damson dream". I have also booked an idealic hotel for a few days away before Easter.
I've lost weight since Saturday and MUST not put it back on again. I want to be able to wear my lovely Monsoon dress while I am away. I may go swimming g again tomorrow.0 -
32b3in2013 i used to go to WW but i switched to SW. I prefer SW but my weight is coming off so slowly though . im sure its my portion sizes. ( I like my food lol ) and at WW i did better as its more focussed on portion sizes .
eandjsmum sending a hug x
Hey, I have done both SW and WW before too. I know what you mean about SW, although you can eat as much as you want, I feel too restricted by the Syns on some of the other food, and can’t stick to it. I prefer to be limited to points, but being able to use them on whatever you wantSPC9 #125 - £816.85

Hello Ladies,
I went to see 3 films yesterday: If Beale Street Could talk, Can You Forgive Me? and A Star Is Born and thoroughly enjoyed watching all 3 films. :j:D
I am staying at home today doing washing and drying and other housework as I am going to spend time with my 4 sisters in Birmingham from tomorrow until the 18th February. I am really looking forward to it, as all 5 sisters rarely come together to spend time with each other.
My new passport arrived yesterday. The benefits of having a unique double barreled surname. :T:D0
