Anyway, I've decided that my fabbing is going to be wearing nail varnish most, if not all the time. My left nails have ridges, with the middle nail looking corrugated.
There's a bonus that drying means I'm not tempted to eat out of boredom.
Anyone use the Aldi Soya Serum? I've had a bad experience with it: my eyes feel heavy and droopy, as if I've a hang over from Night Nurse. Obviously, I've not put it on my eyelids, either.
I had a horrible reaction to one of their serums, I think it was the soya one. I like the soya moisturiser but the serum was a horrible experience, I looked like I had chemical burns. Put it straight in the bin.0 -
Maman I hope you haven't got my cold, it is the worst one I've ever had. Thinking about it I've had flu and got over it quicker. Hope yours is milder.0

Oh lord we are all suffering with one thing or another. I had to cancel all my lovely appointments, just cant take the chance and hate messing the girls in the salon about. We are getting snow right now dont know whether to be glad or sad. Doesn't look like much at the moment but the sky is snowy coloured. I slathered my legs in Dove hint of summer type lotion, its a tiny bit patchy but ok in the main. Only me seeing them mind lol. Sorry to hear some of you are having reactions to Aldi serum, I haven't tried it but love the moisturiser, its so nice and inexpensive. I used to love reading, everything would go to wall if I had a good book. I really have to be in the mood to even pick a book up now, except on holiday, when I inhale them. Nothing as sophisticated as the ones mentioned on here, more of a Jack Reacher girl.
Keep being fabulous, we'll all feel better soon and we'll be ready !:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o
Well except mastered my mortgage 5 yrs early :T:j

Beginning to get my fabbing mojo back - maybe I'm coming out of hibernation lo!!
Went to the first yoga session of the year last night - managed all of it & the instructor isnt too lenient
DH's friend phoned this morning for them to take their bikes out for a ride ( sounds like a couple of 7 year olds lol) so I took the opportunity for an uninterrupted soak in the bath and a defuzzing.. Had booked a haircut for 1pm that was very overdue. I've found a lovely girl who's a good cutter & she asked me if I would be a model for some hair colour in a couple of weeks. A freebie hairdo & colour! YES !!
I'm intending to do some home exercising too - need to work on my strength ready for the summer so leg lunges on the stairs and a couple of 2kg weights for the biceps! & try to increase my walking on dry days.
Humpty - the cold sore I had on my face left a red mark for ages. Maybe try some Bio Oil on it to help it recover?
LL do hope the shoulder eases soon
Maman - hope your cold doesn't hang about either - they really can make you feel so rotten.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -

Exactly the same, streaming eyes. It was strange because I'd used it happily for years.humptydumptybits wrote: »Maman I hope you haven't got my cold, it is the worst one I've ever had. Thinking about it I've had flu and got over it quicker. Hope yours is milder.
I hope so too. I don't feel too bad. Fortunately not going out this evening so plan to settle down with a Lemsip and hope for the best.:)
My Moroccan Rose Argan body wash (which I use as a shower gel) was running low so went to Waitrose and it was one third off. So I bought 3 bottles.:D
Great result on the promise of a free hairdo silva.:money:
teedy, I mix the self tan with a bit of body lotion (in palm of hand) and then it goes on more smoothly. I used it on my arms and shoulders before Christmas to have a bit of colour in party dresses. Thanks for reminding me as I need to start building up a bit of colour for my holiday.
Reading (at least) a book a month is one of my New Year Resolutions. Usually, like you, I only read on holiday and then it's wall to wall chick lit!:D0 -
lessonlearned wrote: »Anyway just cleaned some windows, and the cupboards under the kitchen sink. My shoulder is killing me now. :rotfl: need to get out the gizmo, then slap on some pain relieving gel and then maybe sit with a hot water bottle for a while.
Perfect excuse to sit and read for an hour......:D
Oh, I've cleaned most of the windows, too. Bottled out at kitchen window as I'd have kneel on the worktop and draining board. Stupid though, because it gets the most dirty.
Then I rewarded myself with So Much Life Left Over, Louis de Bernières latest.
Quizzing tonight. The aim is FUN, we've been fed up with the show offs who ask very specialised questions. We could all do that.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

Good morning all, a quick update for the weekend. I am able to follow you all in my lunchbreak at work but cannot post. Second week of work done and still wearing perfume. Also had my first yoga class of the year and had a small smile to self when I met my painted toe nails!!!! Got DGSs for the weekend so will just be catching the odd moment for fabbing. Just about to go for my walk - I meet a friend 4 mornings (3 of them before work - early start, but worth it) and do 5 miles through woodland - good for the soul (and very meditative). Still have to get the diet sorted for this year and get a bit healthier - will attack that this week. Keep fabbing folks!:rotfl:0
