Sounds like you're having lots of fun SUgarbaby.
Good morning lovely ladies.....
Well what a difference my new windows make, the house is so,warm and cosy, .much more like it.:D. Just one more to go, spare bedroom next Tuesday.
So now it's time to think about me.......
Hairdresser, acupuncture and chiropodist all booked for next week. Going to give myself a face peel today. Back on the WW wagon today too. And of course daily yoga from now on.
More rain ........never mind I'll crack on and get some sewing done. Got a pile of laundry to do too. Want to try and fit in a trip to the cinema over the weekend.
Have a great weekend y'all.0 -
lessonlearned that sounds like brilliant progress on the house, cosy for winter. Sigh, I too fell off the wagon but have tentatively come back, am looking after my skin better with elemis and it looks much softer. Creaming my feet at night, making sure that toenails are nice and short with much effort. Had to buy a shower mat, it felt too slippery on the floor, need to be safe. Too much food eaten in past weeks, the winter effect, I must have been a dormouse in a pastlife
Being short, I have `discovered` bon marche and am delighted at the lovely choice. Have bought 2 very nice jumpers, pair of trousers and a coat. They all fit perfectly. Online is a much better choice and I can return to the shop if needed. I want to explore bon marche over time, ok its a cheap name but I am surprised at the good quality and fit. Short mumsy people like myself have not much choice without having to alter almost everything0 -
I have been searching for a red handbag in charity shops for months now and I haven't found one I liked. I caved in and bought a nice burgundy one with Black Friday. It was only a tenner. I also bought my husband a new faux leather jacket.
I have two nights out coming up. Liam Gallagher next week and then I'm seeing Fun Lovin' Criminals in December, both at the O2.
My husband has booked two weeks off over Christmas and we are going to book the dogs in at the vet and go to see a film. I want to see Last Christmas, but he doesn't! He has four free cinema tickets so I might be able to persuade him to see it. Lol. It will be a nice cheap night out as I might just bring snacks from home as well.:cool:Too much food eaten in past weeks, the winter effect, I must have been a dormouse in a pastlife
I am the same way, I have gained back 2 of the pounds I lost in the last few weeks. I keep craving carbs.:o:p
The medication I'm on (Lyrica) increases appetite too. Oh well.0 -
Hi
I have been on the forum for ages but have just tripped over this and frankly it's just what I need!
Ok so I am 11 months behind but dieting and exercising so things are improving hopefully before the year end and then I am ready for next year.
I am finishing work next year. Wont have lots of money as I also have windows to replace!!! (this must be a theme) but intend making the most of my time.
I am also looking frumpy which I thought I was fighting but recent weight gain has really left me looking old and somewhat dishevelled.
So onward and upward.
Hair dyed tomorrow, cut on Tuesday, book chiropody, for starters.:)SCP # 034

Hello Ladies,
Welcome SVC
I went to watch the film Last Christmas yesterday afternoon and I really enjoyed this film. I would give this film 9.5/10
There were far too many selfish people also in the audience watching this film. There were people talking while the film was on and then a young black boy decided to phone his girlfriend to tell her the film was f...ing sh!!e and other phrases similar in a very loud voice.:mad: There were adults changing seats just behind me twice, and someone was kicking the back of my chair. Just when I was losing patience and my temper at being kicked through the back of my chair, she finally desisted. In future I will not be going to the Odeon cinema in Streatham on a Saturday afternoon.
I decided not to go out today as I had washing and drying to get done and I am in pain from pushing my body too hard this week cleaning, organising and decluttering my bedroom. I have not even finished it yet, as I needed to give my aching body a few days rest to recover.0 -
Welcome so very confused . That's quite a mouthful so perhaps we'll go for SVC.:) You've already got some good plans in place for this week so you'll soon be fab!
patty , you've already reminded me to cream my feet. I'll do it PDQ!
Just a heads up that I'm sure I've read that Bon Marche are in financial trouble so you might want to buy up what you want sooner rather than later.
I've been dancing today. I wore my black and white wrap dress with black leggings underneath and got compliments. Always welcome.
We're off to Amsterdam tomorrow morning for a few days. We're going hand luggage only so I'm limited with packing. I'm planning on taking a few jumpers that will look good with jeans and definitely taking my thermal vests for layering. I've got some angora jumpers that are smart enough to wear in a restaurant for the evenings.0 -
svc welcome. Well done on your fabbing start.
Maman enjoy Amsterdam. I remember taking OH to Amsterdam for his birthday years ago. It was around this time of year as it’s his birthday in a few days. OMGoodness, was it cold. We kept popping back to our hotel for warm baths during the day, as we were chilled to the bone.
Sugar going to the cinema when everyone else is at work is bliss. We have an inset day coming up and I’m going to take the children to see Frozen 2 - am hoping the cinema will be a bit quieter.0 -
Are we ready to dazzle this December......:rotfl:
Ok. You might not be able to shed the extra weight you are carrying but it's still 5 weeks so you might be able to shift a few lbs if you put your mind to it.
And even if you feel it's not going to help much therefore why bother - well there's still a lot you can do if you want to be a December Dazzler.
Start now.
Think about your wardrobe, what are you going to wear for the festive season. Are your clothes ready to wear or do they need cleaning, washing or maybe a hem needs stitching or a button is missing.
Would your existing outfits benefit from some new accessories, a nice scarf or pashmina, or some cheap and cheerful costume jewellery.
What about your skin, hair and nails......get those appts booked or go the diy route it really doesn't matter, just get organised and get ready to party.
If you want to be a Christmas cracker well now is the time to get cracking.....:rotfl:
Today I have given myself a gentle skin peel. I will be doing one once a week now. Also using lashings of extra moisturiser to combat the drying effects of central heating.
And keep up the fluids, plain water if you can. Need to keep the skin nicely plumped up.
Don't forget your hands.......they suffer in this cold weather. Rubber gloves for working in water, warm gloves when outdoors. And lashings of hand cream.
I gave myself a manicure this morning....paying extra attention to my cuticles because they have a tendency to split in cold weather, so I am now using cuticle cream every night. Vaseline does the job just as well.
And finally......don't forget your beauty sleep.......it's the best treatment there is and it's free.0 -
Welcome SVC.....sounds like you have made a good start.
Maman a bit late but hope you have a fab time Amsterdam. I love it there but yes it can be very cold. Last time I went it was January and around -6 (during the day) Brrrrr. Very pretty though.
sugarbaby.....what rude ignorant cinema goers....I'm afraid I tend to avoid the weekend crush if I can.
Last time I went on a Saturday night there were three very rude women sat next to my right........one of them did nothing but moan and whinge all the time. Very loudly, I could have clocked her one.
And she just would not stand up to allow people get past, they had to try to squeeze past and try and balance whilst trying to avoid stepping on her feet. She was huge too, overspilling her seat and crushing me. When she wasn't moaning and complaining she was stuffing her face....throwing her empty food cartons and drink containers on the floor.
Some people just behave so badly without any consideration for others.0 -

I don't go out to see films at the cinema that often but one of the last times there was a couple behind me and they kept whispering to each other throughout the film. It was so annoying!:mad:2025 GOALS
