Good morning,
We went to the farm shop yesterday to buy hen accoutrements. I found the Mane and Tail, so bought the shampoo and conditioner. My husband thinks it it hilarious, and has been making horse related jokes ever since :rotfl: I hope it is successful after all this ridicule :rotfl: Chris, do you know if your daughter uses the conditioner as rins off or leave in?
Canters off to make breakfast......;)
I love Mane & Tail. I keep my eye out for in Tx Max. I rinse the conditioner out.0 -
Just starting to try and take better self care of myself after losing my DD to cancer three years ago. I feel like I have been marooned in depression forever.
I have had my hair cut quite short and I love it, so easy to look after so no need for `mail and tail` here lol.
I took early retirement when my DD got ill but now I have some interviews this week. I need to go back to work part-time for money and my sanity. I am 64 so it will just be a basic carehome job but that`s fine.
I have also joined the walk 1000 in a year challenge and have managed 13 miles this week. Not the 20 I was planning but not a bad start.

I'm so sorry to read that.xxx:(
Welcome to the thread.0 -
Vodka witch good luck with the interview
LL glad to her that you are on the mend and that you are sorting out photos . OH is doing that at the moment he has scanned his and put them on a memory stick to give to his brother.
Last year my parents celebrated their 60 th anniversary so had a big family party. That was when the laptops and tablets came out with the family photos on and then they were passed around with comments like Do you know who this is? And where was this one taken?.
Not much fabbing done here today . Spent the afternoon in the garden taking up the leaves.
Since I have been watching what I eat and drink my skin looks better not so blotchy and I have lost 2.5lbs this week. I celebrated by buying some us flowers to cheer the place up after the decs have come down.0 -
Hello everyone.....
Welcome to vodkawitch and bellcat. Sorry to hear about your DD. That must be torment for you. Hard enough losing one's life partner but to lose a child must be absolutely devastating. Hope this thread helps a little. Good luck with your interview.
Just watching Snow White and the Huntsman....I'd forgotten how dark it is. But then the original fairy tales were, it's only the dysneyfication that made them suitable for young children. Ooh I sound like SUgarbaby, giving you a cultural analysis. :rotfl:
Anyhoo.....Andr! Rieu was fab. He reminds of my Belgian friend (the one that's a self made millionaire) the same outrageous flamboyant showing off, same cheesy good natured fun masking an overwhelming ambition. I can see why he's had such a long career.
Last time we went to Belguim with my ailing father, P "conducted" us all in a spirited rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody. I had never seen my dad laugh as much.
Bellcat.....I don't have Netflix but my son does. Dil wants me to watch it with them next time I go.0 -

As I'm the eldest, my brothers look to me to know the who/where /when of the photos. Great idea to ask around the older family members. That's the advice for anyone embarking on genealogy.
Well done on your weightloss. :T Great start to the new year. I love the idea of buying flowers to replace the decs. I've still got flowers left from Christmas but will definitely replace them.Wednesday2000 wrote: »I'm so sorry to read that.xxx:(
Welcome to the thread.
And so say all of us!
I started my first book of 2019 today. I decided to sit on my bed and replicate my sunbed. It has the downside of possibly falling asleep but it worked for me. I've read about a quarter already. I've also decided to keep a list and a few notes on each. I think if I do that it will motivate me to add to the list as the year goes through.0 -
Think I’ll treat myself to an early next night tonight. Il be warmer in bed to. Not much alcohol had this weekend which I’m sure will result in coping with Monday better.
Having two squares of Lindt Chilli 🌶 as a treat. Sunday bath was had and doing really well drinking my water. Tomorrow shall start a more dedicated attempt to healthier eating. No idea what I weigh right now after Xmas but will find out this week and then start to monitor.0 -
Had a really good sleep last night
10000 steps done and day 4 of no alcohol.
Everyone here is really getting motivated, keep up the good work!0 -
I'm having my hair done later this week, I've got very long hair and thinking of having it chopped off! Any ideas?0

Hi all, my dresses arrived & 3 are fine but I'm undecided on the pink beaded dress. Will try it on again & see what DH thinks too.
I've done 2 days of the yoga challenge & will do day 3 tomorrow after taking the weekend off. I really struggled on the first day as it's been so long since I did any, so I was pretty stiff. I definitely felt better afterwards though.
Maman have you heard of goodreads? It's a good site to keep track of what you've read & you can also join the reading challenge every year & set yourself a target of how many books you want to try & read. I find it very useful as sometimes forget whether I've read a book or not.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
