    I wish I hadn't mentioned the subject of jumpsuits!:rotfl:

    A

No worries, I was only teasing. Some great plans you have there. I have a load of jewellery I need to sort out too. Just waiting till I've lost the final stone and then see what my fingers are like.

Frankie......you sound as if you are going great guns too. 9lb loss might not sound much but it can make a huge difference. and you're right, once we start to establish good routines and habits they become pretty much routine.

Just measured my vital stats, inches are coming off too now, wahoo.

It has turned really cold here or at least the rain is making it feel cold. Really don't feel like working in the back bedroom so I'm going to do a bit of sewing instead.

That was interesting about the effect on your sister of men showing an interest in you sugarbaby. Flattering though. :) I can understand you not being interested yourself though. I think you've probably had enough of Jamaican men!

It's the most miserable, wet day here.:( We have a NT property close to here that has a national rose collection in a lovely walled garden. It's peak rose time now and was hoping to get to see it before we go away. It's particularly lovely in the evening when the scents are really strong. No chance while it's pouring with rain though. :(

I went into the city centre to have my eyebrows tinted and waxed. I'm very pleased. Having the tint is fairly new to me but it will be particularly useful when I'm swimming. I did discuss having an eyelash tint. Maybe next time. Has anyone tried it?

That just leaves my nails to do before I go away. I'll have that done on Monday. I use a cheap Vietnamese nail bar Wednesday and they charge £22 for shellac nails. I wouldn't call it a manicure as such but they do remove the old polish and cut and shape the nails. I think it's about £25 for a manicure. It's definitely no frills though as their English isn't great but it suits me.

While I was in the city centre I returned the second Zara dress that didn't fit so just kept the floaty one. I was tempted to buy another in John Lewis (loose, black linen) but it was definitely a want rather than a need. I've told myself that if I still want it when I get back from holiday then I'll treat myself. It's timeless. :)

I got myself a black strapless bra too in JL as I really don't like the look of sleeveless tops/dresses with bra straps showing. I have a nude bra but wanted a black one so really pleased that they had my size.

I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend just pottering about and getting my things ready to go away at a leisurely pace. Hope everyone else has a good weekend TGIF!!:D

    Good Morning Lovely Ladies.....

What a dismal horrible wet soggy day. :rotfl: never mind it seems to be looking better for tomorrow for the christening. Need to try on a couple of outfits and decide what to wear.

Maman....sounds like you are doing well with your holiday preparations. Not long now.....all that lovely sunshine. :D.

Well I went to my first meet up, last night. Dancing. Had a lovely time - I posted a full match report over on the Champagne thread.:rotfl: I will definitely go again. They made me feel very welcome and I had a great time.

In the end I didn't wear my jumpsuit. It was too big on the shoulders so the neckline plunged to indecent levels. I think I can lift the shoulders and maybe sew a little discreet press-stud so that the neckline doesn't gape. I don't really want to have to part with it. I have only worn it a couple of times. And now that I'm going to have an amazing social life I am going to need lots of fabulous clothes to go with it. :rotfl:

I enjoyed people watching last night (as well as dancing). It was interesting to see what people were wearing. Having not been to anything like that in years I wasn't quite sure what to wear but I needn't have worried. I think I got it about right. Glamourous but not too formal.

The builder has been and gone this morning - just need to be sure I don't step on the wet concrete and undo all his good work.

Tonight I'm off to see a cinema screening of the Take That concert - should be fun. I'm going to do some domestic goddessing in the kitchen so I think I'll play my Take That CD to get me in the mood.

No need to really dress up tonight, just smart casual.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

So pleased you enjoyed yourself last night LL.:)

Take That did a live concert at our football ground a couple of weeks ago. DD1 could hear them from her garden which is about 2 miles away. last weekend it was Rod Stewart and we could even hear it here which is 3 miles away! Hope you don't get blown away tonight!:D

Hope the Christening goes well tomorrow. Do let us know what you decide to wear. :)
Maman. I was intrigued by how many of the leading women wore white. Then I read that apparently the Queen always wears white for state banquets, so maybe that's why so many of them followed suit.

The danger with long white gowns is that they can look a bit like wedding dresses. I thought Kate's dress whilst pretty definitely looked like a wedding dress. And Camilla really ought to wear a better bra. :rotfl:

One thing that I did read about Camilla at the banquet was that she was seen with a large glass of red wine despite the white dress. Respect!!:D

I need to do a small food shop today. It's always a bit of a balancing act pre holiday as I don't want any fresh stuff left in the fridge. My plan is to stick to Sainsbury's as I'll be able to buy some loose veg rather than packs that I know I won't be able to finish. It might cost a bit more but I know there'll be no waste.:money:

Looking at the BBC forecast, we should have a couple of hours of sunshine early evening so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we get to the NT Rose garden. :)

Good morning lovely ladies.....blue skies and sunshine, wahoo.

So that decides my outfit for the christening......pale grey crepe sheath dress with short capped sleeves because the restaurant is always warm and a pale pink lightweight wool coat because the church is always cold. :rotfl: sorted. Both bought last year but never worn because I couldn't get in them.

I bought them online and they were very small sizings but I couldn't be bothered to send them back, vowing I would slim down and wear them one day. Lo and behold I have lost weight and that day has come. .......

Assuming my scales are accurate then Another 1lb down this morning. 11 stone 3.9lbs. Nearly at my birthday target. :D.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Take That cinema screening. The cinema was packed and there was a great atmosphere with people singing and dancing along although having said that I sat next to a right Moaning Minnie on my right hand side. Thankfully the lady on my left was more fun. As you might expect with a band celebrating 30 years in the business the audience was a real mixture of both young and older fans. Great night out.

And another great opportunity for people watching.......the Moaning Minnie on my right and her two friends were all huge, not just overweight but obese and had quite serious mobility issues. Without being unkind I'm sure they could improve their fitness and mobility if they lost some weight.

This sounds outrageous I know but what would happen if a fire broke out. It really doesn't bear thinking about because not only would they struggle to escape they would put others at risk.

I had pre booked my seat (you had to) and they were already seated when I arrived - I had to squeeze past them and they either couldn't or wouldn't stand up to allow me to reach my seat. I am afraid I did stumble and did actually tread on one lady's foot. I apologised of course but it really wasn't my fault.

Hey ho, no harm done. Luckily the people the other side were more accommodating when I had to nip to the loo.

Speaking of moaning Minnie's......I was buttonholed the other day by a woman who was divorced.......she spent the entire conversation moaning about her ex.....OK he sounded toxic but surely hanging on to all that pain and bitterness and more to the point, boring people to death about it is self defeating.

I felt like saying to her by all means offload if you need to but keep it for your long suffering friends and family or better still see a therapist, join a support group or whatever but fgs don't subject complete strangers to your tales of woe. Needless to say I smiled sweetly and then made my excuses as soon as was decent.

But talk about party pooper. :rotfl: the sad part was she had been divorced for several years, it wasn't a recent break up.

Right time to get dolled up.....have a great day y'all.

I bought myself a long necklace. I saw one I really liked but it was £70 and I thought that was a bit steep. I then saw one on Amazon under £10 and the reviews were saying that it looks more expensive than it is so I bought that instead.:)

I also bought two new bras, one a sports bra as I have been using my trampoline to exercise again. Oh, and some hair oil.

Oh, okay. I did see a range of prices, some started at £5 which seemed very cheap!

I might just go in and ask at some point. There is one that is three minutes walk from a tube station near me.

I just tried the waxing strips as I wanted to see how painful it was before I went to a salon. I didn't think it was that bad. My husband did it while I lay there, lol. It stung a bit but not actual pain IMO.

It looks a bit messy so I probably will get it done professionally next time.:rotfl:

I really like my new necklace as well!

Well done Wednesday....glad the waxing wasn't too painful for you.

    Hello lovely ladies.

Back to the miserable weather again. :o

We were so fortunate yesterday to have a warm, dry sunny day for the christening. It was a lovely day and Himself behaved like a real superstar, smiling and gurgling like a pro, turning on the charm, flirting with the restaurant staff, lapping up the attention.:rotfl:

I felt good in my grey dress and my pink coat went down well. I know it's vain but it was gratifying to get so many compliments, people telling me how slim, well and nice I looked.

Well after my action packed fun filled weekend and granny duty today I'm shattered. Looking forward to a couple of easy quiet days to catch my breath. Will give WW weigh in a miss tonight, although they have just texted me a reminder......The weather is foul and I'm tired. I really can't be bothered so I'll just have a nice healthy dinner and snuggle up on the sofa. I'm pretty confident I'm on track.
