    Good morning lovely ladies.....

Well done with the teeth LW. It will all be worth it....says she who really must get a grip on this. :D

A beautiful morning, and looking set fair for a couple of nice days to come.

My fibro is much better this morning, back on the Gupta programme, using my acupressure mat and hand held massager, lots of rest and plenty of sleep. Going to try some Pilates today.

Just about to have a "At Home Salon" session........mani, pedi, face mask etc. Got my hair cut the other day.

I've looked at Dermaplaning......looks interesting. Like most salon treatments it can be done at home. Tbh anything that improves the texture of the skin is going to be worthwhile.

I shall be glad when we've done with central heating, it really dries my skin, even though I drink plenty and moisturise like crazy.

My dermologica products arrived yesterday so hopefully I should see a big improvement in the next few days.

SFT. Your Post echoes how I feel about current trends in Retail clothing.......I despair sometimes.. A shocking amount of waste, exploitation of garment workers, degradation of the environment - its all down to greed, both of the corporate world but also I think shoppers have to take some responsibility.

How can it be right that a brand new top can cost less than the price of a cup of coffee in a cafe. How can a dress be made for £5. It stands to reason that profit margins are being squeezed too tight and that someone is paying the price of cheap fashion.

I think we are all paying that price..........shoddy goods, bonded labour, and the rape and destruction of our planet, is the price :(

Shopping in charity shops helps, it gives shoppers good quality affordable clothing, it reduces waste, which in turn helps the environment and of course raises funds for charity.

Although CS shopping isn't the panacea to all the garment industries woes. I think the time has come for much stricter regulation, enforceable by law. It's time for everyone, manufacturers retailers and yes, consumers too, to clean up our acts.

As you can see it's a subject close to my heart. :(. There is so much we need to do.

I am seriously thinking of investing in a decent sewing machine......

I can design, make my own patterns, sew, embroider, crochet, knit .....I do have quite a fair few skills. I used to make most of my own clothes but I just got lazy. To be fair clothes became so cheap to buy it often wasn't worth the effort and good quality fabric (when you can find it) isn't cheap.

I have been looking at Etsy recently. There are some very talented people out there and some of the clothes and accessories on there are really lovely.

    I feel inspired to create......:D

    I'm down another pound.:T

I'm getting my hair cut today. I used to get it done every 6 months but decided I'm going to have it done every two months from now on. She commented on how long my hair was in January and it has grown almost half way down my back again since then.

I'm not sure if that is to do with the daylight making my hair grow too? I have been taking flax seed capsules daily so maybe it is that.

I will be interested in seeing what my vitamin D levels are in May. When I first went to the GP before I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia he said I had the vitamin D levels of someone that has been housebound!:o:o:o

I watched a make-up tutorial on YouTube yesterday. 10 minutes everyday wear for women over 40 and have copied some of her tricks today.

I've not had my colours done, but am literally allergic to brown, beige, orange n yellow:rotfl:Love black, red, turqouise, purple and deep blues :D

It's funny as I think I said on here that my hair has gone so much lighter with all my long walks and my skin has actually gone one shade darker since I did my colours so I'm not even sure I would still be a winter!:D I had to buy a darker shade of foundation, not the palest one they make, one shade up. Lol.

I still prefer those colours though, so I'm sticking with them.

A guy recently asked me if I had my hair highlighted blonde!:rotfl:

    Good for you Wednesday.:D

I've been out for a brisk one hour walk today. It's a weekly walking group that we belong to and it ends with an (optional) coffee in a delightful coffee shop that has an outside area surrounded by trees. This morning was particularly good as it's such a beautiful day. :D

I'm with you on regular hair appointments Wednesday. I've tried hard (and mostly failed:() to convince DD2 that this is a good idea even for long hair. Fortunately I've had success with my DGDs.:D You can always tell when you walk behind women with long hair whether it falls neatly over their shoulders/back or just hangs in straggly bits with dead ends.

Next serious fabbing is planned for Saturday when I'm going to a dance. It's also more exercise than a weekly class as we don't keep stopping for teaching points.

Hope you got to go to work humpty.:rotfl:

Does clearing out the last owners crap from sheds count as exercise.....:rotfl:

I have. Just loaded the car for another tip run in the morning. I counted 15 tins of paint from just one shed.:rotfl: At least I remembered to wear work gloves today.

I'm aiming for two tip runs a week to get rid of the smaller. manageable stuff. Then hopefully I can get away with just one skip for the heavier items. The boys will load it for me. . It is annoying though. (And actually against the law to leave your rubbish for the next owner).

When I leave somewhere the only things I leave are a welcome pack, a new home card, a bunch of flowers and a bottle of bubbly. :rotfl:

Anyway just going to enjoy the sun with my cuppa and my book.top up my vitamin D :D

Well done Wednesday and hope your scales are telling the truth LL ;)
Nipped into my local town this afternoon as DDiL wanted a voucher towards her hair cut for her birthday and there just happens to be a very nice CS two doors along - be rude not to ;) A Diane Von Furstenberg dress - perfect for £6!!!! Shame it was too small for me but I did let the assistant know it was underpriced. I did buy DH a book from his favourite author & got home to discover he already had it :( never mind it was 50p to a good charity.
I'm thinking of using some false nails when I go on holiday if mine don't pass muster. DH bought me some face cream at Christmas and I've just started using it but it doesn't suit my skin - little watery spots round my mouth so I'll use it elsewhere and go back to my old one.
    Happy fabbing Ladies

Apparently, it is the flax seed oil making my hair grow! I looked and I have been taking a capsule a day for nearly 6 months as I had to buy a new bottle.

My hair always got to a certain length and then stopped but the flax is making is grow so fast. I'm going to get my husband to take it too as his hair has thinned since his cancer treatment.

I have my acupuncture appointment tomorrow. I hope it doesn't hurt as much as last time!

Wow, shame it was too small.

Gok Wan was saying that Diane Von Furstenberg do the best wrap around dresses.

Strangely moll, I don't find eating out in London that expensive. Obviously I'm talking about average restaurants and bars not the The Ivy! It could be that where I live in the south is also expensive

Id have been ok if it was just the odd meal , as some places were reasonable , but we was there for a week and had to eat every meal out from Breakfast to supper. Actually supper wasnt bad as we'd find somewhere that did take away and take it back to the hotel

LL well done you should be very proud of your achievements so far , I havent done as well as you , but im not far behind , Put quite a bit of weight on while in London , even with all the walking , but its coming off quicky now im home and back to eating healthy ( Actually im enjoying it after all the junk food) but as soon as the weight plateaus ill have a better idea of exactly how much ive lost, And i was thinking your birthday was June , not July so i have a bit longer too to achieve my goal , Thanks for doing it with me , The London trip was out the blue so i couldnt plan for it much. but i did enjoy my time there with an old friend i usually only see once a year , and "Happy Therapy" is sometimes the best medicine . I had a lovely birthday and thankyou for all the birthday wishes , Didnt do much with just coming home from my jollies, but spent it around family and friends ,

Maman still catching up on everyones posts, but we went to see Fishermans Friends in Leicester Square while i was in London , I loved it . Weve been to Cornwall the last 3 summers, so the views of Port Isaac was nice too

I'm glad you enjoyed Fisherman's Friends LL. It had poor reviews but I've heard the originals sing and I though just the music would be good and I expect there are nice views of Cornwall. There are some real characters in the group too. I think they remind me of my favourite Welsh male voice choirs.
