  • Beautiful day here, was going to go to the beach but went for a walk along the cliffs instead. Abowlsolutely glorious and it really lifts the spirits.

Stopped for a bowl of chicken soup and a chunk of crusty bread which was very welcome and now I'm home and going to settle down to a bit of crochet before GS comes round for a few hours after school.
    Great day.

Candy.......glad you're ok. I've been concerned. I have PMd you.

Well I'm done for. Time to rest. Had my hair done, looks better. It's a cold wind here, not really warm enough to sit out today. But it's nice to see the sun and the blue skies.

    Another gorgeous day here too.:D

:T on your 1lb off LL.

Sounds like you're making brilliant progress with the wrap humpty. Hope the fancy border is working out.:)

I was up with the lark for my podiatrist appointment. She was generally pleased with the condition of my feet but encouraged me to put dabs of cream on the corners of my big toes as that's always the bit that gets sore first. It's easy just to concentrate on the soles and heels. So that's my project for the next few weeks.:)

I went to Boots for the Clarins Beauty Flash Balm LL and the offer has ended! I was so cross as it was there just yesterday afternoon. I wish I'd done Click and Collect now.:( So I left it as it's not urgent. Do let me know if you see the offer again.

While I was in the city I bought myself some black leggings and jeggings. I made myself go into M&S as I wanted some in a long length. and Sainsbury's were too short.:( I tried them on briefly in the shop but I'll try again at home to make sure they're keepers. I'm going to a conference next month and I want something comfortable to wear in the daytime when there's an awful lot of sitting around.

They had heaps of sale stuff in M&S. Rows and rows of stuff they can't sell. I read an article this week where they described going in there like gatecrashing a wake!:rotfl:

Out dancing tonight so a skirt/dress and a bit of fabbing is called for. :)
  • So annoying to miss a deal Maman. I've got to go into M&S this week, I bought GSs suits for daughter's wedding and the eldest appears to have grown about 2 inches in the last month so I think I am going to get the longer length. The trousers are just about OK now but I think I'd rather risk having to shorten them rather than them being too short. The jacket is fine so presumably it is his legs that are growing! Teenage boys, what can you do with them.

I had a set back with the shawl today, did a row of double all the way round, 16 ft of it, and then the first fancy row. Got to the end and saw I had missed part of the pattern half way round. I'm surprised no one heard my crying as I unravelled 8ft of a complicated pattern. I've redone it now so I'm hoping I don't do that again.

Had a strange concoction for dinner, GSs didn't seem to mind. Defrosting the freezer is my project and I think I should be able to do it by the end of the week, then a big shop to fill it up.

Hope everyone is well, these sunny days are good for us so hope everyone is feeling the benefit.

Happy birthday moll . It's perfectly normal to have a gain when you're away. Just enjoy your birthday and then make a plan to whittle away that 2 stone.:D

I feel your pain humpty .
