  • Evening folks. Been in Birmingham last 2 days and can't really see on my phone to check on here.
Was at hospital today to see about the cataract surgery . Getting my right eye done as left eye is still okay by all accounts. Now that is great news except I'll need to get new glasses :(. More money !!

Spent a fair whack whilst away with work but can claim it all back except about a tenner. Not going to add anything to my totals for shopping spends as nothing was really shopping. It was wine and gin :rotfl: and that's not groceries is it?

Mary Poppins was really good. Pure Disney.

Lost 9lbs this week so I'm delighted at that. Been taking lunch in every day and cooking every night so I've also saved a fortune.

Started my 100 day challenge as well and paid £202.49 off cc's so far. To be fair it's my minimum payment plus a £10 but at least it's a start. I should manage to make a good hole in it at the end of the month. I've got some overtime and DD will pay me some of the money she owes me so fingers crossed no dramas and I can get it started and also get my tax bill paid off.

So I don't think I'll do any overtime this weekend as I'm shattered after a busy week and will get paid for most of Wednesday as I don't normally work Wednesdays so I don't feel overly guilty about it.

Been hearing rumours that the overtime might stop and if that happens I am up the brown creek without a paddle and will need to rethink everything yet again. Fingers crossed it keeps going for a while anyway until I am in a better position.

So I hope all is well ..........take care xx

V no I'm loosely following slimming world. I haven't joined so not 100% sure on current syns etc but hey it's working so far. Wasn't great whilst away as we ate out and had a few wines and gins but I could have been horrific but I definitely wasn't. For me that's a huge thing as usually I treat a night away as a free pass to do whatever the h*ll I want to.

PLMBL you have a lovely weekend too whatever you get up to.

    JWIL ty xx

So I got up about 9am after 8.5hrs sleep and feel fresh as a daisy. So I got dressed and headed in to ASDA before the rush. Still quite busy but not too bad. I can't understand why so many people still insist on shopping on a Saturday. I avoid it like the plague but having had a busy week I had to go today as needed basics desperately and also other things for during the week. I was however tempted and ended up spending £15 more than my list and came in at £58.18 overall. It should do me all week and I did get some extra lunch/snack type things that were on offer for the kids lunches. I stocked up on alpen bars as they are reduced as well so I'm not going to beat myself up about it. I'm quite happy with how my budget is going.

So today is a cooking/housework/laundry day as I want a chilled day tomorrow if I don't go to work.

So in the oven just now is baked oats for my brunch as I have been dying to try these but they take a while to cook so not practical for the weekdays. I'm going to try the sweet potato pakora from the pinch of nom site and make butternut squash and sweet potato soup. I have chicken drumsticks for dinner and going to jerk season them and make dirty chips in the actifry. These are also on the PON site and look dynamite and ever so sinful. I'll let you know if they are any good.

So budget is scarily tight this month . I have just under £200 left to do me and I have a night out with food and my hair to get done which will eat up most of that :(. My hair is desperate though as I couldn't get colour done last time due to the allergic reactions I was having so roots are horrific. Night out is a late Christmas one which my workmates and I always do as December is so busy. I'll keep it under control as much as I can though.

So I best move my backside and get started. Take care all xx

  • Gawd I write too much :o

So hello folks. Hope you have all had a nice Sunday. Mine has been a busy one. I've gutted my lounge today and my kitchen. Place smells divine. I didn't make the dirty chips yesterday but I did today along with a fabby sirloin and pepper sauce from plenty of nom site. Syn free and totally delicious. I'm stuffed

I knw I've only been watching what I eat for 12 days but the horrible sluggishness is definitely lifting and my energy levels are rising. Viral infection and allergies must be gone and I'm feeling so much better. So for that reason alone I should carry this on. Another reason is the embarrassment of being overweight. I'm a big lass. Coming home from Birmingham the other day a woman sat beside me and I know I was taking up more than my fair share of the seat but she huffed and puffed and wriggled and sighed and I was nearly in tears. I sat for 2 hours with my arms folded in as much as I could and I ended up in agony with my back. I even said to her at one point that I was sorry that the seats weren't built for big women. I thought she would have reassured me but she just said hmm it's alright. I wanted to cry :(. I have a few similar stories and I just need to sort this once and for all.

A nice NSD today. I didn't go in to work as I really had to get the housework sorted out and I'm really glad I took the day at home as I can relax the rest of the week a bit as far as the house is concerned. I haven't been outside except to the bin and now on the couch watching dancing on ice.

Have a lovely evening folks and yet again I've talked too much :D

  • Love your chats, don’t stop them!!

I’m also a big lass. This has been proven many times, from not being able to get the belt on properly on rides, to kids in DS1’s class making fun of me, to seeing my humongous self on tv . Each time it devastates me and I wish I could bottle how I feel then to help me continue my weight loss journey. Ultimately though, it’s what’s on the inside that counts, and you are a lovely person MiT. Don’t forget that Xx

Wow 9lb in a week is very very impressive :) Well done :)

Glad DD was ok. A few years ago someone I worked with died of sudden adult death syndrome aged just 29. He went home on the Wednesday feeling light headed he died that night. It was awful, so sad, he was such a lovely lad :(
