Hair is done £61 😱 but was desperate . I didn’t spend anything else. I also got blood pressure checked and back to normal at last. It’s taken since November but thankfully meds now working.
4lbs off this week and I’m thrilled to bits with that. That’s 13 in 2 weeks. Well worth the effort. I just need to try now and up my exercise a bit.
Today we have braised steak cooking in slow cooker with carrots and onions. I’ll make nice mash and sprouts to go with it and that’ll be a really filling dinner tonight. My DS has lost 10lbs as well so I’m chuffed for him as well.
I’m going to have quite a chilled day now as I deserve it :rotfl:

Dawny I really admire your commitment and for messaging to ask for a fruit salad. I’m more likely to have messages asking for two slices

Did an inventory of my freezer and realised not enough to eat healthily through until end of month. So I placed an order with musclefoods. There’s 7.5kg of chicken so should do me for rest of this month and whole of next month. Was £65.99 and I had to put it on the credit card. I’ll pay it off of it though when the kids pay me back the money they owe me and their digs which will be next week. I’m not overly concerned about it as it will get paid off very quickly.
Been having a think about the debt to concentrate on and I think I will go for the overdraft. I’m with Halifax and it’s costing me £1.70 per day just now. I am going to try and get it paid off over my 100 day challenge and just reduce it to £100 instead of £1500 as I just keep using it as soon as things get right. This will be amazing if I manage it in 100 days along with my minimum payments to cards but I’ll go for it x5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Well done on the weight loss :T :T
Two chubby cubs are good but can be a little risque!
I think the overdraft is a good one to target, they are expensive and can be called in at any time."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -

Agreed jwil it has to go. I was going to save up and just pay it all off but the charges increase the more I’m in my overdraft so I think I’ll just reduce it by how much I can manage to pay off each month and that means I can’t go over it or charges will be mega again.

Happy Saturday folks
Had a works night out last night in Glasgow. Was good fun and good chat. Shattered today though. One of my workmates got really drunk, puked all over the train floor and I was mortified. Feel so bad for the poor soul who has to clean it up. Anyway she is suitably affronted today :rotfl: I'm getting too old for that nonsense.
Just been updating my spreadsheets and between charges and interest it's costing me over £250 per month. I could honestly cry. I am however going to do another spreadsheet and watch it go down. I honestly can't think of any better motivation for me as I grudge every penny.
Paypal emailed me the other day with a 0% offer so I'll maybe see what that'a about and if I can get it or not. I'm getting a knock back from everyone else unfortunately so no balance transfers
Need to go and collect my car soon as ditched it at train station and I'll pop in to ASDA for a few things I need to get us through the week. Just bread and a couple of other things. Hoping they're giving food away free today as that's what I can afford :rotfl:
Anyway I'll report back later. Take care xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Evening folks
Wee days overtime today so that’s another wee bit off of overdraft when it comes in. I spent just over £16 last night in ASDA on food and £10 on two cheap nightdresses as I’ve just been wearing a vest top and pants and I’ve been cold. I’ve got £12 left in budget for food to do next 11 days!! I do have enough food for main meals but snacks will be the issue. Never mind we will get there.
I feel that I’ve not managed anything this month except prep work and getting myself back on board with money saving . I’m hoping next month will be a bit better
Hope everyone has had a nice day xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Hi Mit. When we had a very large overdraft I arranged with the bank for them to reduce it by £10 every week. I didn't really notice it going and then it was gone.

Lucielle's Daring Debt Free Journey
DFD Before we Die!!!! Long Haul Supporter #1240 -
Lucielle that's a great idea. I'll have a think about that. It's costing me £2.30 per day just now which I'm sure is going to hit about £40 by end of month. At the minute it is my most expensive debt so I dunno. I might think about that idea though for my 2 cards I'm not going to concentrate on. Could set up a small £10 per month overpayment to my home improvement loan. Food for thought. Thank you so much
I forgot it was my niece's birthday today and I hadn't bought her anything. I bought a discounted voucher for costa for her through my work and she was really pleased. She loves costa but hasn't been buying one in the morning as she is getting married this year and saving every penny. This has however left me short for the £100 I promised my ds he could borrow for 1 day on Thursday
I'm a bit obsessed just now about how I'm going to go about all this and it's affecting my sleep a bit. It all seems like such a mountain. Blue Monday indeed
I think I am really annoyed at myself for not sorting all this out when I had extra money but hey ho I didn't and I am now determined that I have to sort it once and for all. Annoying though as you think that when you get in to your 50s things should be a bit easier. I'll just try and make sure thats the case by the time I'm 55
So I'm a bit bleugh today but I just need to kick myself up my backside and sort myself out. I'll be alright tomorrow xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
