  • Payday tomorrow :j:j. I was beginning to think it would never come. Don't even know why I'm excited about it because every penny is accounted for but at least some debt will get shifted and that will most definitely make me feel sunny.

what doesn't make me feel sunny however is a no weight loss this week :(. This when I start to struggle and I will need to fight my inner demons for the week to stop me straying. I've ordered a weight loss chart so hopefully that come today and I'll get it hung up stick on my stars for weight lost so far and that'll help me :rotfl:. I'm a bit of a child and like stuff like that.

Today is my non working day and I am going to spend it cleaning. collecting my prescription and maybe visiting my old aunt if she gets back to me to confirm she's at home. Weather is freezing here so not overly inviting to go outside tbh

So have a nice hump day folks xx

  • Sitting doing my monthly accounts and they are scary reading. I need nearly £1,900 per month just to survive and between wages and digs that is exactly what I have coming in. There is no leeway at all until March when my house insurance will go down a bit as business insurance will be removed. I called to remove it a few minutes ago but was told to make a change would cost me just as much as the amount I would save as my renewal is only a couple of weeks away. Bummer !!

Feel as if I'm 2 steps forward and one back just now. My overdraft costs this month are £46.24 so over a year that'll be £544.88 . It has got to go. I feel as if I'm being robbed by a bank !!!!!!!!

I'm away to get ready and head out to my aunts and get my prescription. Only spend hopefully will be a bunch of flowers xx

  • £266.82 in interest and charges this month. This more than my mortgage. Its got to go. I could honestly cry but that's the push I need. I don't mind paying back my debts as I run them up but the interest I totally grudge. But I knew what I was doing when I was spending the money so I better just get on with it.

I forgot I have a couple of days away later in month with my cousins. Shouldn't be too spendy as it's only £40 for the cottage . I have booze coming out my ears so it will only be mixers I need and we are all taking food so no real additional costs there either. It'll be great fun as they are a good crowd.

  • Days away sound just the ticket.

It’s scary how much interest the debts run up. You’ve done well to face it though and use it as a tool to spur you on :T.

Enjoy the rest of the day Xx

Glad you had a good day :)

It's pretty horrifying the amount I must have paid in interest and charges over the years

  • It is actually horrifying jwil. No wonder we end up in a mess x

  • Afternoon folks. A wee days overtime again today so that'll help at end of Feb to make a dent in this debt.

£350 today knocked off of my overdraft. Had to go through a 30 minute phone call to get my online banking sorted but at least it's done now and I can reduce it whenever I have spare cash. It feels good to see that figure go down from £1,500 to £1,150 :D. Probably just be my usual minimums the rest of the month but I'm happy with that.

    January I managed
    • to pay everything
    • reduce overdraft by £350
    • take lunch every day to work
    • stop drinking fizzy juice
    • lose 16lbs in weight
    • stick to my menu plan

I did however add boots to my credit card but it's snowing, I was desperate. So I'm pretty happy with that. Everything has gone down (including myself) and I feel more in control. Hopefully the debt reduction will start getting some momentum soon. Have a lovely Saturday folks. I'm just going to curl up on couch after dinner and sort out a menu plan for Feb and keep cosy under a blanket xx

  • Gold medal for January then :T. Well done you.

Impressed with 16lbs off in a month too. I lost 5.5pbs this week, my first week back on track, and I’ll be well chuffed if I get close to 16lbs in the next 3 weigh ins Xx

  • Brilliant getting 5.5 off. I’m struggling this week as I stayed the same. Managing to carry on but finding it hard. I just hope scales move this week :-)
