Yip, I'll join the party too, I'm a snacker0

I’m actually stunned at how many calories I’m consuming on snacking. Food wise I’m fine. Shocking to be honest. Tomorrow I’m meeting a friend for lunch in Glasgow so Monday I am going to try and cut right down to the amount of calories the nhs website says I need to maintain and I’m going to try and do some treadmill and some hand weights. Wish me luck could5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

My only weakness is red wine. My saviour is I practively live on vegetables and do tonnes of exercise. We all have our weaknesses. Good luck with the calorie counting, you can do it xxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Good Morning folks. Not much happening on the money saving front unfortunately as I have no money to save!! It's a bleeding nightmare. My DS has already given me his dig money early which I have used and I only have £53 to do me until the end of the month. I'll need to spend that very wisely as I need some shopping. Just fresh food but will be at least £30 for that
.
This was the first month in a long time where I had a bare wage. No cleaning as that's absolutely finished and no overtime. Thankfully this month I have 1 days overtime and also I won £250 in works lottery which I will get in my wages at end of month as well. I have managed to get my overdraft down from £1,500 to £950 but it has been a real struggle. I only paid £50 this month but it has stretched me. I'm concentrating on the overdraft as I get a daily charge for that which eats in to my money for living on. Although it's not my most expensive debt it is the one that affects me during the month. At least the other ones have the interest added monthly and I know exactly what I will be paying. Hope that makes sense.
Anyway on to other news. My very good friends got married in secret last weekend in Gretna. Well I say in secret, I had guessed :rotfl:. They had originally been getting married on that date and it had gotten cancelled so I guessed they would just do it quietly. So I have a gift to buy for them. I'm just going to get them B&Q vouchers as they want to do up their living room. I'll need to put it on my card but I'll pay it back off at end of month.
I've been doing the calorie counting. NHS website says for my weight I can eat up to 2,400 calories per day and maintain. The recommended calories for losing weight is 1,800 per day. So I have set my target on my fitbit for 2,400 and been keeping to 1,800. My thought behind this is that I have the option to go up to 2,400 and not put on so the days I manage to stay under are a bonus. So for the last week I have easily managed the 1,800 and I lost 10lbs!! in a wee !!! who even does that? I'm thrilled to bits. I'm also writing a book whilst I go through the weight journey. It's just for me but it's actually quite funny. Maybe I'll share it at some point. Was joking to my DD the other night that I was an instagram sensation :rotfl:.
I am on leave his week and just using the time to catch up with myself and meet up with a few folks. Not back to work until next Thursday except hopefully a wee overtime day on Sunday. I know it's Easter but I have no plans.
I hope everyone is well xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

I've been quite lucky this month with money. As I said I won £250 on works lottery and will get that in with my wages. I also sent off a form to Barclays that they sent me about a payment break plan. I couldn't even remember having that so when they invited me to query the validity of it , I did. The form had lain in the house for ages but I watched Martin's programme one night and it made me feel guilty for not completing it and I got £98 back. Not a lot but was money for old rope.
I've still had to use the CC a couple of times though as I desperately needed new shoes so I bought two pairs of skechers as my feet are very happy in them. They are expensive but they will do me all spring and summer so I am happy with that. I also ended up using the cc for hopping as I just needed to get quite a lot of stuff and the cash I had just wasn't covering it. My debt is still going down slowly each month so it's all good. I got a 0% transfer so managed to transfer a £1k to that. I can only do transfers just now between the cards I have got as I can't get any new ones.
I have a few things available I can sell so I am hoping to get some of that done this week. The first one being my laundry press. It's an old one but a really good make and works fine so I'm sure I'll get it away. I'll get that on to Gumtree today.
Sun has been splitting the skies here in the west of Scotland which is a nice treat for us and washing has been getting dried outside. Trying to do everything electrical whilst the solar panels are drawing power and I can get it fro free. I just need to get the kids on board a but more with that though.
Oh well, I hope everyone is having a nice chilled Easter weekend. Take care xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Dear God. Nearly a year since I was on here. How quickly time flies. I have tried to get on a few times and couldn't get access. I started another account but it just didn't feel right to not be MIT so I tried again et voila!! I'm here
My CC debt is currently sitting at £23,674.36. So it's even worse than it was last year despite paying a fortune to them every month.
This covid pandemic has scared me half to death. There's the obvious in that I'm terrified of me or my kids catching it. It also brought home to me though that I am in a very precarious position financially. I have nothing to fall back on. I don't even really have any credit left on my CC's. I'm almost maxed out on all 3 of them. I'm disgusted.
I did eventually get the promotion I was after. I've moved to a different department and I am on a long learning curve. I am working in Glasgow city centre nd travelling each day. During this time I am however at home. This is saving me £135 per month on fares so I have paid that off of my most expensive CC. I'm absolutely determined this time to sort this out. I never want to feel that fear in the pit of my stomach again. I don't even know what I spent £23k on !!
I hope you guys are all well and staying safe xx
