Happy Saturday folks. I'm not working today so catching up with some housework. I've folded washing and on second load getting washed. I'm on second load in dishwasher and have hand washed some pots ( I'm such a tramp) and generally tidied up. I'm going to try and do some treadmill this afternoon. My back is achy though with all the lifting and laying of the housey stuff so I will see how I go. I cannot wait to feel a bit fitter as I am way under par just now due to all the crappy allergy stuff I've been going through. Definitely on the mend though. Just annoying me that I can't whizz around the house like usual but I can do about an hour at a slow pace and then I need to sit for an hour. Doing my nut in but lots of folks worse off than me. That's for sure
Just checked the online bookings for the cottages I deal with and both have been removed from the booking site so looks like the owner is definitely going ahead with selling. I'll double check with her later as that will mean I can remove the business insurance from my home insurance which will save me about £30 a month. I'm drilling down these costs bit by bit.
Virgin are next. I'm going to cancel my house phone as I rarely use it. I'm £19 per month for my phone alone. My DS has put in VOIP phones and I can just stick a tenner on that every so often or I have unlimited minutes on my mobile. DD and I use the telly a lot though so I can't really get rid of that. In fact I won't but I'll see if I can get a better deal than I have just now.
If I do these things then my outgoings will be under my income on a bare wage so I should hopefully manage some sort of overpayment every month. I want to try for about £900 per month from CC debts as that will facilitate my two year plan. Paying £420 for minimums anyway so £480 ish to find . I can do this . Well after this month I can do it :rotfl: not a farthing to spare this month.
I'm away to check out deals on virgin. Have a lovely day all xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Called Virgin and managed to get an £8 per month discount. It all helps. I'm now about £150 over with my income than my outgoings not including any extras . Things will be tight. DD owes me £900 so that'll go directly to the debt and is almost £1k off of total with no effort from me except to moan at her to get it paid.
I'm trying to do all this without a major change to our lifestyle. I just need to stop being so wasteful !!
So dinner tonight is a pack of chicken kiev balls from freezer which are leftover from Christmas, a pack of breaded mushrooms I forgot about, wedges I froze last week from excess spuds and chicken dippers. I'm annoyed though as I also had a pack of chicken tikka pasties and was going to use them too but I read date wrong and they were use by 2nd and I thought it had said the 9th. So they're in the bin. Bl**dy cataracts . Told the kids to pretend it's a pub combo for 3 lol5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

If they'd smelled ok I would have eaten them!
I did think about it but it was chicken and I bottled it :rotfl:
I've seen people talking about full and final payments. Do these work if you are up to date with your creditors and also do they affect credit rating? Does anyone know?5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Full and final settlements are generally only accepted if you've defaulted on your accounts (and often once they've been sold on to a debt collection agency), and so it will affect your credit rating."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
