freeview box and £50 marks and sparks vouchers (merged)

No catch - just a free box and £50 of M&S voucher after 48 weeks I've been doing it for 14 weeks now. If there's a problem I just email them and it's sorted. It's going to cost me £4.80 in texts but I get free Vigin sims with £5 top up so it doesn't cost me anything really.

Well I have e-mailed them and stated that my main telly is in the lounge but the telly with most usage is in the kitchen.So I will wait and see.Hope I can have it in the kitchen, make my chores a bit nicer!Thanks op if I get it I will be sooo happy.

I think they just say use it on you main telly, because thats normally the one that is connected to the aerial on roof of the house.
As for freeview you normally need a house top aerial, to recieve all the channels and the bestest signal

Roger_c - Just contact them explaining the suituation, I'm sure they won't mind. If your using it on another telly in the house, mabye if it is also connected to the main aeial on the top of your house they won't mind, as long as its on standby. Contact them via e-mail, I got a speedy response.

How much does it cost to leave the box on standby. The way my electric bill has gone up I may haggle about the £50 vouchers

Just got in touch and now waiting for their t&c to be sent via email , once all done and dusted will take upto 2 weeks to get the box sorted .

I often wonder this. Not so much in this case but it baffles me the extents people go to sometimes e.g. filling in a long form (giving all there personal details and having to agree for them to be used as the company wishes) just for a free sachet of something they don't even really want or need. It's hillaious.

Privacy and time always should be factored in to the equation, it's not really "free" if you quantify those things
