Morning all,
76 & 77 - 2 box hair dyes given away on freecycle.
78 - a pile of bits of paper pre-owned by the HT and left lying around the house have been gathered up by said House Troll and deposited in the recycling. He has a tendency to empty his blazer pockets wherever he happens to be standing and I worry about throwing anything important away so..... I made him go through everything this morning and get rid of the bits he didn't need.
I am reorganising the kitchen. I'm fed up of seeing recipes that I think that I may like and then not making them because it involves a food processor and mine is at the back of the larder. I've moved everything round in the cupboards and the air fryer and food processor are now out on the counter where they can be plugged in and used. The slow cooker is easily accessible and the cupboards are tidy.
I have however just emptied the "drawer of doom" out onto the side. Everyone has one right? All the things that don't belong in there will be put away in their rightful places. This is my attempt at being mobile on a Saturday morning while the washing is on rather than just sitting on my bum knitting.
Mrs SD I have a fitbit too. I went running yesterday morning (or what passes for running in a fat 51 year old lady) and to my shame I'd done more steps by 9:15 than I'd done in the entire day on Thursday :rotfl:0 -
Cranky40 do you have a Park Run near you? 5km before breakfast (well starts at 9am) on a Saturday morning. You can walk, jog or run - whatever you are able to do. Really sets me up for the day
and will certainly help with the Fitbit
If you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!

Have taken video tapes out of the pretend book covers, they can go to CS (look better on shelves than paperbacks !!!) and the tapes are in black bag for bin/tip. Had a new charity bag through door yesterday and they are collecting Monday so the one I put out before and not collected can be put in that with a few extras. Sorted 2 boxes in front room into Xmas pressie re-gifting and a box for birthday stuff, to make cards etc. Will ask cleaner to take upstairs for me and will re-organise the existing b'day Xmas stuff into them.0

Yes. I'm scared of coming last though. I'm probably the slowest runner on Merseyside. I may go and watch one morning and see what kind of times people do....0 -
Cranky I have several drawers of doom and cupboards
. But they will be gone this year, hopefully. At least the bottom of one wardrobe is decluttered :j
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -

Cranky, nobody finishes last, it's a run, not a race, so you can run, jog, walk, skip or hop. The parkruns have a Tail Walker, who is always the last to finish.https://support.parkrun.com/hc/en-us/articles/200566523-What-do-the-volunteers-do-
The Tail Walker stays right at the back of the field and should be the last person to cross the finish line ensuring that everyone is accounted for.
They are encouraged to carry a mobile phone in case of emergencies.
They let any marshal out on the course know that they can collect nearby signs and leave their post.
This role is compulsory in the UK and Australia but please note that not all events in our parkrun world have a tail walker.
Volunteers undertaking this role receive both a run credit and a volunteer credit.0 -

Our one ranged from 17:42 (never in a million years) to 1 hour and 1 minute. My time was 31:15 and I have improved by almost 5 mins since first starting. I take the dog so it classes as her morning walk.
Go for it - everyone is really friendly and there are all ages (from babies in prams to well over 75) and sizes. If you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!
