Good morning,
The HT has been off school with a cough and cold for a couple of days but he's back in today so a bit of gentle pottering round and :-
71 Old gardening trainers in the bin (replaced by newer trainers that I don't wear much because they don't support my feet properly)
72 Pyjama pants in the bin (starting to be more holes than pyjama)
73 book sold on ebay posted
74 & 75 Two cardboard boxes flattened & in recycling bin
Thanks for all the encouragement Mrs SD0 -
Sorry I was MIA. After going overboard the other day, I just did too much and ended up in bed yesterday. I am loaded with cold so went to the shops in the village and got some meds. I'm now curled up on the sofa with coffee a blanket and shed loads of pain relief.
No decluttering today.Feb 2019 GC £151.53/£300God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, wisdom to know the difference.0 -

Hello everyone :hello:
149-155 7 bin bags of rubbish/unwanted stuff
156-163 8 odd glasses to chazzer
164-169 6 odd plates " "
170-174 5 odd pottery plant pots to chazzer
We have lots of stuff (still!) stored at DH's work from when we had major building work here 3 years ago, and stuff from mum's house when we cleared it over 18 months ago - this is how some of the rubbish is being generated. Today, I brought home 2 chunks of mum/dad/grandma's paperwork to burn (bear in mind that grandma died over 12 years ago, dad 10 years, and mum 3 years...), but also found a big envelope stuffed with letters that me and my siblings had written to dad (he was in the Merchant Navy) - that's going to be a killer to sort through, emotionally! Good job I still have some of my Christmas booze left to declutter along with the reading!

I've been having a quiet day here as we are snowed in
.
In the cs bag my DD's pram blanket, she's now mid 30's  but it has been used for her dolls and then passed on to DGD for her dolls. ( I feel I've been hanging on to it for sentimental reasons only )
In the bin an oil stained T. shirt and 7 assorted odd socks, all black but different lengths and sizes . I have no idea where their mates have gone  but I've waited long enough in case they turned up. Now I expect they'll probably appear tomorrow :rotfl:.
Happy decluttering allFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
101-107: clothes to recycling
108: tee shirt sold, 3 euros for the travel pot
109-128: books and maps sold, 15 euros for the travel pot1st goal: 0/936 euros
2nd goal: 0/15160 euros0 -
2 big bags of paperwork no longer needed burnt on bonfire. Great day for it as it's freezing.
Big bag of rubbish in bin - stuff that is neither recyclable nor fit for CS.
Will list a big trunk on face book tomorrow that is surplus to requirements & thankfully is empty - so no need to plough through that.0 -
1. SMALL TASKS WILL BE DONE ASAP
2. I WILL LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I ENTERED
3. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
4. WHEN DEALING WITH CLUTTER I WILL USE ‘Daisy1571’s idea of ‘WHAT WOULD I DO WITH THIS ITEM IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE’S ?’
5. IF I WAS STARTING FROM SCRATCH, WOULD I BUY THIS?
6. BE LIKE A POSTAGE STAMP - STICK TO ONE THING UNTIL YOU GET THERE
Friday was a damp, sleety day. The forecast 3” of snow turned into 3mmWhich rapidly disappeared
My F*tb*t is NOT happy today - I only managed 3 out of 6 goals today
We had pork medallions in a creamy mustard sauce with mashed potatoes & peas + mashed sweet potato for DH & I for dinner. Three clean plates  DH & I had bowls of hm soup for lunch - More like stew than soup but tasty nonetheless. Only enough left for one person, so will be making another pot of soup tomorrow.
Today I finished decluttering the contents of the last box from the spare room - all that is left is 2 box files of sentimental items which I will sort at a later date. I have also done my sewing repairs & some knitting. I think the weekend will be a cooking, baking & knitting weekendI think next week I might sort my knitting/sewing supplies & will try to be quicker & brutal. Hopefully I can fill a bag for the cs

Do you have 'space' for a latecomer? :hello:
I have been trying to reverse seven years of neglect of my flat (repairs/ maintenance/ decluttering/ cleaning) linked to mental health, low income and, increasingly, physical health issues.
No children, but a little cat who now needs more home comforts (osteoarthritis).
Been managing bursts of productivity this winter, including three solid hours on my kitchen last night.Today there are two loads of general rubbish and two of recycling to get rid of.
And some 'displaced citizens' to accomodate: kettle, iron and pressure cooker in the living room, handheld vacuum on the hob, stepladder in front of the sink.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
