Mrs Salad Days: Thanks for your suggestion but those glasses were pretty mouldy and nasty. They were brittle plastic and some were cracked too. I hope you are feeling ok now.
I just want to say that your cheerleading certainly encourages me to come back and see what your thoughts are. Thanks for the encouragement.:T:T:T
Today I took three bags to the CS. One was rags one picture frames and one clothes. Now on 8/60
It is a lot easier to take stuff now I work in one, lol, but still don't put everything in mine. I have three bags of books in the hall for the Oxfam shop but as this is in town I will be taking them Saturday.:D
Today found some lovely glittery jewellery at the bottom of a bag but had to rifle through used face wipes and odd earrings to get them. Yuck.
I was on the till for three hours and in that time took about 85 bags of donations, most of it giftaided. It makes me happy that so many people are not just throwing stuff out. I just wish they could hang onto their Christmas stuff for September as so much is going in the bin as there is nowhere to store it.:(
Also decluttered today: a blanket that has taken me ages to crochet and should have been a gift at Christmas for my DD. SHe has it now and is very happy. There were 49 large patches to sew together. Gonna have a rest from crochet for a while now.:DWife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor. Sunday - A cold damp day with hailstones  Apart from posting birthday cards the only ‘item’ decluttered today is my DSis :rotfl: Due to the doctor’s concerns about her sleep apnoea she is on her first night of a sleep study  DH took her to the hospital for 8:00 p.m. Probably another 2 nights of study

I made my F*tb*t super happy today :rotfl: - green stars across the board :j as I walked to & FROM the sm so saved bus fare as wellI am keeping up with my daily mantras but have done nothing else today

Morning,
My five minutes yesterday went well. More recipes out the door and knowing those left are interesting we se3m to be trying more of them too. Lots of unpacking done too, and started dealing with Mount Washmore.
Mrs SD please borrow the 5 minute declutter. I wanted a New Year resolution that wouldn’t pileon any pressure but increase my consistency in decluttering as it came in fits and starts before. I can do more than 5 mins if I’m on a roll once I start. Gettibg started at all is half the battle for me.0 -

Also got rid of some more rubbish and bits from the kitchen. It's such a positive experience. And I feel so much better now that my table is clear. I'm enjoying meal times up the table with my DS and he is too. He's been asking lots of questions and what things are which is really niceand it's helping my mental health a lot too (I know I keep saying this but I didn't realise how much the clutter was getting me down as well) I actually sat in my living room the other day and felt happy. When I walk into the house and see how clean and tidy it is in there I don't mind the toys and I feel more at peace (again sorry if this sounds odd or I keep going on haha)
C xx
It’s not weird at all! I feel so much better when I walk into the living room and there isn’t random carp everywhere (the usual state of affairs), or into the kitchen and there be dishes everywhere. I feel on edge if I know one of the rooms is a tip!Every act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️

I had a big decluttering day of my clothes yesterday. Almost Marie Kondo-ing (focusing on whether I loved items and really needed them) just without thanking the items I'm getting rid of!
2 bags to go to the charity shop
1 rag bag
1 bag of rubbish
And about 15 things to put onto ebay which I'll do this week.
Just my underwear left to do - but it was too chilly yesterday to be trying stuff on to see if it fits before potentially making decisions :rotfl:0 -
I didn't get any decluttering fine over the weekend but I did get to enjoy the results of some I'd already done. We had friends over on Saturday night and used the dining room to have dinner and play board games. It's completely tidy (it still has too much stuff in but it's actually usable instead of everything being piled up on the table).
Yesterday my neighbour popped round with a card, a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine to say thank you for all the kids clothes I gave her which was lovely.
I'm back in the groove again today and started by taking 8 cardboard tubes from wrapping paper in to the 6 year old's school as they had requested supplies for junk modelling. I suspect I'll see some of our back again as some kind of deeply interesting creation though so it's only a temporary win.
I'm making a concerted effort to burn through our scented candle collection at the moment as we seem to have loads of them. It's very easy to forget you've got them.
It's good to read what everyone else is up to. It makes you think what else you could be decluttering in your own home.0 -

I'm doing this as well! I've always 'saved them for best' but when the drawer I keep them in became full and couldn't fit the ones I got for Christmas in I decided to start enjoying them. My flat smells lovely at the moment haha0 -
Keep warm Mrs Salad Dodger. That sounded like a horrible thing to deal with.
I've just decluttered a cheese and pickle toastie.:D Apart from that nothing else done. I think I will have a little go after picking up DS later.
Ooh.....I lied. Two Christmas cards gone which were lurking. I must learn to pace myself.;)
Seriously I would like to have all walkways and the stairs clear by the end of day tomorrow so I can have a good go on Wednesday when DH is at work.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

*99 bits of my mums or collected for her-given to her.
Frustratingly she gave me a bag of bits back. On a positive note some are for going this weekend when I meet with DD and the other items are for a charity auction but will need to keep them for about 6 months first for the charity so I count these as positive neutral items that will be shipped out by 6 months. It's just finding storage with the other items without looking cluttered but getting there-slowly!
One item will go into my CS bag. If I get my act together these can go tomorrow-happy days!Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
