47/52 - this is a particularly embarrassing one. I was getting ready to put my new popcorn advent out when I remembered I had some old ones lurking! Sure enough I found 2 from (wait for it) 2017. That's not the embarrassing bit :eek
One of them still had some foil wrapped chocolates in and I ate them!

Thursday has been yet another dry, bright & sunny day & quite cold. Another lazy day for all of us - but I have finished writing all my Christmas cards except one (which needs to enclose a grovelling letter for being a poor friend :o) No call from the CS  Window cleaner came & we had a nice chat - gave him a donation to his holiday fund - he & his wife do not celebrate Christmas hence not calling it a Christmas Box :p. DH & I had hm soup for lunch - very tasty 😋 & DSis finished her chicken nuggets. Dinner was baked Bolognese pasta with melted mozzarella. Freezer emptying is still progressing :rotfl:

Not embarrassing at all Rootle (I would have done the same ;)) :D Plus you should have added in the chocolates as a separate item decluttered :rotfl:

Friday has been a dark drizzly day :( DH & I tried delivering the CS donations again but still nothing open - we never did receive a call back & no reply re the 2 emails sent. Posted all the Christmas cards + our postal votes + all the December birthday cards (with an ‘open on’ date :rotfl:) got some cash from the atm & did a small sm shop for Friday’s dinner. More scarf knitting & clearing down of TV planner for me, DH stayed in his office & DSis stayed in her room.
DH & I had hm soup with the last bag of hm croutons from the freezer for lunch - very tasty 😋 Dinner was fish, chips & peas. Freezer emptying is still progressing :rotfl:

    4 lots of paperwork recycled/shredded
    1 candle burned and enjoyed
1 cardboard coaster used as firelighter
    1 item into CS bag

ETA only 108 items to go to reach the 1000 mark, however realistically I won't have time over the next 2 weeks to get stuck in. It would be lovely to get there ...

Saturday was brighter - mainly dry with some drizzle :( Both the neighbours to whom I gave scarves have passed on thanks from the voluntary organisations. Neighbour G described it as “like watching birds descend to eat bird food scattered on the ground” :rotfl: I gave him the red & purple scarves for the 2 ladies;) More scarf knitting & clearing down of TV planner for me - only have 3 more episodes of TWD & TTD to watch & I will be all caught up :T DH stayed in his office & DSis stayed in her room.
DH & I had a mug of hm soup each with soft rolls. The last teeny portion is the start of my next hm soup - have added various bags/boxes of bits from the freezer together with a couple of peeled & diced sweet potatoes, a sliced onion & seasoned with beef stock cubes & paprika. It has been cooked for 2 hours so far & will be cooked for another couple of hours tomorrow, then zizzed & taste tested. Several lunches for DH & I + the freezer is emptying :T Dinner was Kentucky Chucky :rotfl

4579 - 4582 Two drinks tins, 0.5” paperwork, glass jar & metal lid - Recycled
4583 Bag of kitchen detritus - Binned
    4584 - 4585 Scarves 9 & 10 given to neighbour G

Now, now oceanspirit :naughty: no defeatist talk ;) I love green EE’s suggestion :rotfl: Do you receive lots of Christmas cards? an easy win :rotfl: How about clearing down emails - 5 emails = one item ;) Do you collect jars for pickling? Maybe cull those. I really would like to give you a Gold star ;):p

Happy Kitties - Hope you have more luck with your CS than I have had with mine :(

Happy decluttering ;) & see you tomorrow ;)
